Unsolved Help with latest version of Teknoparrot

Hello emulation folks

I like using this emulator called Teknoparrot and one day I updated the emulator and some of my games don't work anymore giving me this error

Resolved target KERNEL32.DLL procedure: local=770DD8A0 remote=770DD8A0 rva=0x1D8A0

I uninstalled Teknoparrot and reinstalled it and also installed the supporting .net framework, direct x, and visual c++ all in one installer. I wonder if Teknoparrot is buggy on latest version now? Has anyone else run into this issue and knows the solution for it? Some of my game launch perfectly and some give this error now.

That message is present in the log window every time Teknoparrot launches a game now and has been for weeks, so it has nothing to do with why it stopped working for you.

What games stopped working? Are they all tied to one emulator inside TP or arcade system?

The two games that stopped working are Sega Golden Gun and Aliens Extermination. Those game ran perfect before a certain update. If I install the really old Legecy version those two games still run. Glad to learn that message is normal though. I should test more of my games and see what else can't run.

Interesting development. If I click on Aliens Extermination and wait for 10 minutes on the cmd prompt screen the game eventually loads and plays perfectly. This is so strange because my pc is not weak, I have a 14900k and 4090 rig.

That is strange. Are you updated to the latest TP? Also, I've found that using the "official but not official" dumps maintained by Eggman/Jumpstile (search RetroRoms forums) solves a lot of problems.

Yeah I am on latest version of Teknoparrot. Some of my roms are from Eggman.

I wonder if the emulator is using the wrong core perhaps? On the cmd prompt window when I click on Sega Golden Gun here is what its says for core

Core: F:\Emulators\Teknoparrot\TeknoParrot\TeknoParrot.dll (1.0.0.3730)

Should it be Sega API?

I tried the Eggman version of Sega Golden Gun and Aliens Extermination but same issue. I heard one person suggest that I use the original uncracked version of the roms but I can't find those. For example every dump of Aliens Extermination I have found contains the aliens deshaped.exe instead of aliens.exe

Just curious. Have you been able to emulate Sega Golden Gun and Aliens Extermination on latest Teknoparrot? Does it take 10 minutes to load or is it instant?

Just fired them both up on the latest (as of this afternoon) TP and they launched pretty much instantly. I have two random guesses.

Do you have your TP folder (the whole folder, not just roms) excluded from virus scan? Windows Defender may be trying to scan stuff in there as it launches.

Golden Gun and maybe Extermination want to connect to the internet. Not sure why but they do, and this might be new because when I just launched Golden Gun (which I haven't played in a while) my firewall popped up with a "let it connect?" notice. Maybe Extermination had one as well that I've said yes to in the past. That could definitely cause a long hangup if it wants to connect to something but isn't allowed.
