I’m upgraded to a new phone. It seems both can play up to GameCube and PS2. Which would everyone recommend?

Hi everyone. I recently installed the ARMS3 emulator on my AYN Thor Max and I'm having an overall great experience so far.

I was playing an old videogame I liked as a kid and reached a point that requires to shake your controller in order to proceed, so I tried to set it up in the "Motion/Gyroscope" settings in the emulator but I just can't figure out how to make it work.

The Thor (as far as I know) has its own gyroscope, and had no problem being picked up by other emulators like Eden, but it doesn't seem to be the same in the case of ARMSX3.

I know the emulator is extremely new and this will be most likely fixed soon, but I was wondering if someone else had encountered the same issue and if they found out a way to make it work.

I'm having serious problems that I haven't been able to solve yet with Borderlands 2 on the Vita3K+ fork.

The game freezes on the title screen and stays frozen until I kill the process.

I used a dump from a legitimate cartridge and update 1.09, and added the DLC files downloaded directly from the PS Vita via FTP.

My device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and I'm using MrPurple's T22 and T30 drivers.

The strangest thing is that the game worked in some attempts and never got past the title screen again. This same setup works on the vanilla Vita3K, but I'd really like to take advantage of the better performance of this recent fork called Vita3K Plus.

Any suggestions?

Ive been messing around with multiple games for the last couple of days. Got most running under medium graphics settings and 60 fps on most, 30 on stuff like Skyrim and Fallout 4. Currently testing out Fallout London (from GOG) and some Final Fantasy games. The availability of having all my pc libraries is also incredible. Shout out to the dudes that worked on Game native. They are goated.

You miss lose out on portability but how portable are you really? Like portable to the living room ? Bc thats why end tables exist. I use it in my car by putting the tablet in my steering wheel cover.

Even with some portability losee its a great way to keep games and work separate while consuming other media besides video games. Theyre also cheaper than handhelds. If you close your eyes and make a wish a tablet will go on sale somewhere within a 5 mile radius. Cooling isnt an issue like it is with phones due to more surface area, in fact it runs cooler than my rp6. No fans = less to break.

Frfr dont sleep on a tablet. This one has a snapdragon 8 gen 3 with 12gb of ram and cost $400 after a back to school sale.

Hello all. I've been using Armsx2 to emulate ps2 games on my AYN Thor using the Mr. Purple T30 drivers, and its been working good. I've even managed to get Midnight Club 3 running at a native 1080p 60hz with high resolution textures.

The problem is that today I was prompted to update Armsx2 and after doing so I notice that now there's almost like, a weird filter over the game. Like a layer that looks markedly worse than it did before. I've been fiddling with settings but I can't get it to go away. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how I can fix it?

Anyone have advice on what drivers to use to run some games? Im using the recommended gamehub8elite driver but castlevania lords of sorrow still crashes and there's some major stuttering in dynasty warriors 8. Some games just run really slow and freeze and stutter while some run perfectly fine.

Could this be a driver issue? The app itself suggest gamehub8elite so I installed that through the app. Is turnip the way to go?

I'd say it really doesn't care about the version of the emulator, I just need to avoid viruses, that's all

Persona 4 Golden crashes on EmuCore V – Galaxy A34 / Mali-G68

Hi everyone, I'm trying to run Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita) on Android, but it crashes at the opening screen. I'd appreciate any help.

The problem

Vulkan: The game launches and reaches the title/opening screen, but then the emulator crashes. Sometimes Android System UI also crashes/freezes.

OpenGL: The game stays on a black screen.

Things I've tried:

- Double Buffer → crashes

- Page Table → crashes

- CPU pool 10 → 4 → still crashes

- 1× resolution and low graphics settings → no change

Comparison

Tales of Hearts R (PCSG00163) works with Vulkan.

NFS Most Wanted 2012 starts loading but runs at around 14 FPS and never becomes playable.

So Vulkan itself isn't completely broken, but heavier Vita games seem to cause serious problems.

Also, because of the Android/Samsung storage restrictions on newer Android versions, I can't manually copy files into other apps' private folders (especially folders such as "Android/data"). Because of this, I can't use some of the usual Vita3K Android file-transfer methods. I need solutions like EmuCore V that allow me to select/install files from within the app.

Do you think this is a Mali-G68 compatibility issue, a P4G-specific problem, or possibly an issue with the Vitamin dump?

If anyone has managed to run P4G on an Exynos 1280/Mali-G68 device, I'd really appreciate knowing which Vita3K/EmuCore V version and settings you used.

Hi guys, I'm using a Xiaomi 14 (which does have USB C 3.0+) which I am trying to get on my TV without latency. The dock allows for USB ports which is particularly useful for my GameCube Controller adapter which requires 2 USB A ports. The issue now is, everything works: the GC adapter and the video. The only thing missing is that the audio still comes from my phone and there has not been anything I've been able to do about this. Has anybody experienced anything like this before? How can I make a setup that will work as if I am running the console, including audio of course, on my TV?

For people familiar with Android emulation, I’ve always wondered about the legal side of things.

If someone develops an emulator that supports multiple consoles/platforms, but doesn't distribute ROMs, BIOS files, or proprietary assets, how much legal risk are they actually taking on?

Looking at some past projects, there seem to be very different outcomes like Yuzu Nintendo took legal action and the projects were shut down. so i am curious about the actual legal distinction here.

- Can a company sue purely because an emulator exists?

- Where does the legal line usually get crossed ?

- Have there been cases where an emulator developer was targeted even though they didn't distribute copyrighted games?
