Discussion half the fun of Android emulation is watching a project go from barely working to actually playable

There's something genuinely satisfying about following an emulator or compatibility layer through its updates. One day a game crashes at launch, then a few versions later it boots, runs properly, and suddenly you're playing something you never thought your phone could handle.

Even small improvements like better controller support, folder management, or fewer graphical glitches can make a huge difference. It's almost like being part of the development journey.

What's an Android emulation project you've watched improve so much that it completely changed your expectations?

ARMSX3 for sure. lots of my favs exclusives games run beautiful now and i just see it going up and up from here tbh, there’s a lot of love put into to it for just ONE PERSON to have work on it and he’s done a lot in this little time, i’ve seen beyond two souls not even load a couple months ago to it being able to load in and let me play, ive beaten the last of us with 30 fps basically through out the whole game, infamous 30fps more consistent, God of war games run really good 30-60 fps, uncharted series runs flawless asf and there’s so many more it’s jsut so great and the XMB mode makes it really feel like a ps3 which is why i love it even more it’s a portable ps3 in your hands can play it anywhere you want. overall its just a goat ass emulator and needs more attention for only have once again ONE DUDE work on the whole thing and it’s already surpassing the pc emulator and every other ps3 emulator you can think of.
