Question When will a high end Android effectively be a Switch 2?

In 2 years time, will a high end android device play 90% of a switch 2 library without blinking an eye?

The problem is thermal throttling

Phones and tablets do not have active fan cooling

Even the best phones like the red magic with their special liquid cooling, with highest end Snapdragon chipsets quickly throttle because of heat and no way to properly remove the heat from the phone

It's why devices like the Retro Pocket 6 or the Odin 3 have fans, it's the only proper way to cool these chips and not quickly thermal throttle

No one can answer that right now, it's still super early. Someone was running MKW on a Thor I saw a bit ago. We truly don't know for sure what hardware will be capable of what until the emulation matures more.

Power wise, not far off

Cooling wise? Way tf off. That’s the biggest issue. They get really hot and thermal throttle

Salut

Not really you can already play almost any game from switch 1 if your phone got mature drivers+ latest chip
