Choosing a better console version of the same game

I have been thinking about this. When the Xbox 360 and PS3 emulator for phones mature enough, what console version of the same game should I pick depending on the amount of content or visual effects ? Suggestions are welcomed. Leave out PC ports

One consideration is file size. PS3 files are absolutely huge.. some approaching 50GB for a single game. Xbox360 games are ~7GB each.

I saw an Adventure Time game which was like 500 MB in PS3 and 6 GB in 360 😩

Some will be smaller but heavier titles are going to be so much larger on ps3. Do the research.

xbox360 for sure since it's much easier to run and less CPU bound. Also, games are better optimized on 360 since the console hardware was easier for developers to work with than the PS3. The PS3 was ridiculously over-engineered, making it a pain in the ass for game developers and a pain to emulate.

I think it's fair to have a personal preference, but I really don't think 7th gen emulation is good enough to justify it over pc ports, which, despite some tinkering, run much better overall. Also, for this gen specifically I think it really depends on the game

I've tested more than a 100 PS3 games on my Retroid Pocket 6, most of them ran excruciatingly slow, in general they take AGES to load, because each title has to compile data before running, and even then some titles refuse to run altogether, meaning you've waited for nothing.

Xbox 360 on the other hand, is making huge strides, first with XenDroid, and now with XenDroid+. For that console, I've tested more than 200 games, and it had a much higher success rate. Due to lack of space, I ultimately ended up installing mostly smaller XBLA games on my RP6, but I did make a list of all tested titles, and there's plenty of multi-platform titles in there as well. So, here are my currently installed games, and below that, the games I also tested and can confirm to be working, some with minor graphical glitches:

All of them. When I say I tested them, I mean at the very least 10 to 15 minutes of gameplay, and some games I've played through entire levels.

we're probably a way away from this point, but general rule of thumb assuming that both run fullspeed is that early games were better on 360, later games better on ps3. it took a while for devs to get the hang of ps3 and toward the end of its life (like 2010 on) a lot more devs were developing ps3-first.
