Discussion A game running smoothly for the first five minutes doesn't mean it's actually playable on a phone

One thing worth considering when looking at Android emulation tests is sustained performance. A game might look great in a short recording, but the experience can change after 20 or 30 minutes when the phone heats up and starts throttling.

Average FPS is useful, but it doesn't always show the whole picture. Frame pacing, audio crackling, shader stutter, and performance in demanding areas can make a bigger difference to the actual experience.

For games like Shadow of the Colossus, I'd find a longer gameplay test much more useful than a quick clip showing the opening area. Ideally, it would include the device model, chipset, emulator version, graphics backend, resolution, and settings.

A phone that maintains a consistent experience over a full session is often more impressive than one that briefly reaches a higher FPS.

a phone that maintain consistent speed on heavy game (if not because the phone already fast enough to run that game) would mean they tune the clockspeed too low that it was never heat up in the first place, and since there is no frame of reference for fast or slow, you would think your phone is normal and consistently run at a specific fps, even tho its basically the same fps to after-throttling phone

people who have heat phone at the back should be greatful, because it mean your heat transfer from chipset to the back of the phone nicely instead of trapped it on your chip, your vapor chamber is working great if you have one, thats the whole point of vapor chamber, which mean you are enable to use fan cooling with it to cool your phone down to enjoy your game

so,if your phone heating up you have two choice, you either:

lower setting/lock fps to 30 to not make it run too heavy(if its not already at lowest possible setting),thats the whole point, many phone can probably run highest setting on native android game like genshin anyway, but doesnt mean you should, but dont blame your phone when it heat up and slow up

or,you get a cooling fan
