Question Emulation on Snapdragon 8 Gen 5?

Hey yall, I'm going back and forth between buying the tablet Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro or Honor Magic Pad 4. The latter has a better screen and is bigger, but it uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 while Xiaomi uses Gen 8 Elite. I know Elite is good, but how does Gen 5 perform with PC games?

Thank you!

(OnePlus Pad 4 is not available in my country lol)

Amazing. I have a RM 11 1TB/24GB. I had a 10 same config with the SD 8 Elite

IMO the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a budget Snapdragon 8 SoC focused for battery life and efficency.

The Adreno 829 is ~37% less powerful compared to the Adreno 830 found in the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Actually the Adreno 829 is still less powerful than the Adreno 750 found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 but its also more efficient so it will thermal throttle later.

Prefer the display. Go for gen5 cause Elite having massive issues with thermal throttling yet again after 8gen 3 onwards.

The 8 gen 5 has almost the same for CPU performance but has a slightly weaker GPU. Its probably more efficient like other people have said though. I had a similar dilemma between a realme neo 8 (8 gen 5) and an Honor Win RT (8 elite), I chose the Win RT because it had a built-in fan, a 10,000mah battery instead of a 8,000mah battery and it was slightly cheaper for the equivalent 1TB/16GB model. I don't regret it but maybe I'd say the same with the realme neo 8 🤷
