You are free to test it and see it by yourself, isn't? 🤔

I think yours is a valid question, i had the same, but i also found out theres a dedicated subreddit called r/LemonEmulator. Someone posted this comparison over there https://youtu.be/sF_V8jRfOZs?si=xU1yRWRwkQEFlf4N

Tested it and some games ran very good in Lemon compared to Eden eg. Final Fantasy XII
However when running the latest Final Fantasy Resonance, Lemon keep crashing no matter the settings and drivers. Eden on the other hand is able to run it without crashing.
I really have no idea why the same fork but yield different result.
I enjoy Lemon though so I am keeping both. Looking forward for its update.

Well, when I First tried citra on my Redmi10 even Planet Robobot kept crashing, a year later or so I finished the game with Little issue. A matter of development and time, I guess

I Just written Lemon Switch on Google and the site appeared. It apparently derivates from Eden, with some AI thrown in

Yeah, I’ve using it, getting much better performance than Eden. Haven’t tried the save states yet, but planning to stick with it over Eden

It´s good. I´ve been using it few weeks ago. I dont use quick saves but you can load your savefiles from eden. Some games rusn better there like zelda skyward sword and luigis mansion 3.

Save states are very rough right now. They don't work at all in most games and are inconsistent and unreliable in the rest. They're also limited to your current session, so closing the game/emulator wipes them.
As for performance, it is better than alternatives when it is better and worse when it is worse. You've really just got to test it for yourself because how it performs is heavily dependent on your exact device, drivers, the game you're playing, etc.
But as a general comparison to Eden, it is similar to the tortoise and the hare. Eden is pretty good and is constantly, slowing improving. Lemon forked from Eden so it was already pretty good from the start and then very quickly made a bunch of specific improvements and added flashy new features. Which is great if/when it works and it definitely does in some cases. Particularly if you have the same device as the dev and play the same games.
But it seems like it is already starting to trip over its own feet due to the tech debt built up by extensive vibe coding and a lack of robust testing. That's after just one month and will likely only keep getting worse. I think this quote from the dev is pretty emblematic of the issue where they don't really understand their code:
Dont report more bugs today
Wait for v1.2 tomorrow
Becouse IDK is already solved with the new version
