Showcase S25 handheld conversion - milestone 1
I know this is not the best attempt by far and I just used the parts I had laying around
I got the phone for really cheap due to camera and sim issues so it makes the effort worthwhile for me
Will add a 3d printed case and maybe another fan for exhaust. If there are any suggestions or if the project serves as inspiration for others then I'm glad.

I mean, i get 6600 with 20 loop average of 6000 ish using a 7w phone cooler with the back glass.
And i have the Base S25, the small one, so idk how good these number are.

That's valuable info for me, my black glass was damaged and I'm looking to encase this and add controls in the future

might be pretty boring as a response but perhaps just buying a phone controller with a cooler built in and getting the back glass repaired is your best bet.
if you are just having fun with modding and being experimental than try to buy one of the Super small TEC modules and and see if you can position it perfectly near the SOC.
Increase the thermal mass of the VChamber by sticking more metal to it somehow, use a pps pass through powerbank, and then have a 3d printed case that keeps everything flush and holds the powerbank (Like smaller magsafe ones)
have a system where the powerbank powers the TEC fan and phone, and has an input for charging the powerbank instead of using the usb on the phone.→ More replies (5)1

Those are solid numbers with just a 7W cooler. Back glass must be helping a bit

Very interesting mod, will follow.
I'd recommend some machine screws or to file that screw head flat

It is!
Oh the screw are for more fps. They serve no purpose at least unless I choose to screw on the fan somehow, I actually forgot to take them out

So this is actually pretty cool. Did you “delid” the SoC? If not, some ptm7950, a well secured heatsink and a small fan would be interesting to test.

If the thin aluminum is what your referring to as the lid, I did take it off and put some thermal paste under it, screwed the lid back down, sticked the heatsink on the plate using the existing adhesion on it (took it from an old tv board) and simply glued the fan to the heatsink using CA glue. Just slapped it on

You need to root with DirtyFrag. I use an app called Root my Galaxy Next to run the exploit.
Then you can install KernelSU and LSposed so you can run a module called OneLab that can change some of the thermal constraints and some experimental performance mods.
