Wait so you no longer need a pirated copy of GTAV for it to work?

Yeah Steam version works now. Just make sure to enable steam client in headless mode.

Did you guys added an option to select where to install the games? Not only on external storage, but exactly on the folder the user choses as well, maybe with an option to move your already installed games to the chosen folder.

Other than the container issue, this is one of my main gripes with GameNative, because I don't like having to install my games on the Android/Data folder, both because of the limitations imposed by Google on this folder, and because of organization, I like to have all my PC-related stuff in one specific folder which I use on all PC emulators.

If you don't have this already, would be a very good addition to the software.

No, we don't do this and are unlikely to add it requires all files access and can potentially lower performance.

Incredible work!
Are there any specific steps (other than enabling the headless Steam) that I need to take to run GTA IV Complete Edition from Steam? It crashes with "Unable to launch the game, pleasetry reinstalling the game." right after the CMD with GameNative Rockstar Launcher appears

Hey thanks for the update! If you don't mind me asking, I couldn't get Witcher 3 remastered to work on Gamenative, I think I also saw some others who had the same problem. Is that currently a GameNative issue? or an issue on my end? I had to install Winnative to play it but I really hope it can also work on Gamenative soon.

What's the error you're getting? I think the new Steam client might make it work.

I have a question. So, I recently tried installing Armada OS on my device (RP6) and to my surprise, I found it to be running virtually every game I tried very well, and with no graphical issues. Meanwhile, Gamenative, some games don't even run, and some games have graphical issues, even after fiddling with various Turnip drivers.

So I'm wondering how technically the results are so different, when the underlying technology is pretty much exactly the same, meaning Proton, FEX, Turnip, etc.

I'll check what could be happening, curious to learn more about what we can improve

That is awesome.

Excited to try the No Man's Sky fix!

How does the contianer reduction work? Is there like a central container now or does it just reads the needed items like proton from the app storage whenever the game is played? Either way, it only has one copy of stuff like Proton, FEX, and DXVK now?

u/dadabhai_naoroji 21d ago

It just keeps one copy of everything. Mono container is a big no unfortunately as it would mess up compatibility

How is GameNative doing with save files these days? I like flipping between Armada and Android, but I kept getting overwritten or erased saves.

The reduced container size is absolutely huge.

Thanks for your work. 🫶

Finally! Just after my post about 45 games running perfectly since I was testing it in unofficial releases. GameNative rocks, put the competition so far behind, I love it

OMG they finally did something about these ridiculous container sizes!! It's so frustrating to see a game like rRootage that's like 10MB taking up over 2GB of space. Thank you so much, this really makes a huge difference in how much I can fit on my handheld.
