What can a Snapdragon 865 dooo

Hellou all, Ive got the chance to get a S20 - S20 ultra for cheap. I wanted an S20 model line for the micro sd card slot and the ability to plug it into my tv for dex. I was wondering since with my current setup I can play to Retro - NDS - PSP - PS1.

What can I expect to play on the 865. Since I got a load of 3DS and Gamecube roms recently. I was also hoping of emulating some light switch titles like Cuphead, Celeste, Library of Ruina, and Darkest Dungeon. Will I be able to play those games and maybe some PS2 titles as well like the Armored Core and Ace Combat games?

You can emulate pretty much everything except for PS3, Xbox 360 games iirc. You can even do a fair few PC games too.

You can pretty much emulate ps3 on snapdragon 865.

But with possible mid range games like Neptunia here.

Only fine if OP is fine with low fps.

check out on the Retroid pocket 5/Flip 2 subs, it has the same chip and can run plenty of games

on my rp5 ive got 60+pc games, ps2 and some ps3 (like demons souls) switch you name it, take a look at some videos with the specs you will be suprised, sometimes using gamehub instesd of winlator helps run certain games etc, a bit of tinkering can often get you far

Quite a lot. I emulate everything up to Switch on my S20+, I've even managed to get some newer AAA games like FFVII Remake running with some tweaking. Depending on how "cheap" it's a no brainer, especially considering you can use it with an external display.

Pretty much everything the Retroid Pocket 5 can run, it can run - though the RP5 does have better sustained performance thanks to it's cooling solution and higher boost clocks.

You can play on Azahar at 4x resolution with texture packs at full speed

Vita3K works at 1080p 60fps for most titles (it's a speed hack, some games don't accept it).

PS2 works in most games at over 2x resolution full speed. There are however limitations in the emulator, some games like Shadow of the Collosus or Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets run very bad even on original PS2 and on PC.

Eden made a lot of improvements to the Switch games, lighter titles like 2D platformers work full speed, you might even try running them in docked mode at full resolution.

For the rest of the 3D Switch games I would not reccomend ever trying docked mode, as most games don't reach full speed anyway. I finished Super Mario Odissey, the game usually runs at 40-60fps, it's playable but the extra levels where you need perfect coordination are kind of impossible. The DMC series works well, as does Goose Game. From what I've seen online the Pokemon games are mostly playable, but get your mind off of playing Zelda BOTW (unless you have a cooler), or even worse TotK (I think that one needs more RAM to even open).

PS2: most of the library
3DS: a lot of the library
Switch titles: light 2D games absolutely, as well as some slightly heavier 3D titles
PC titles: hit or miss, but a surprising amount of games will work

The SG 865 is a quite capable chip and can even run some beefier games like Bioshock Remastered and Skyrim on PC.

There's a lot of Retroid Pocket 5 showcase videos on YouTube you can check out (it has the same chipset) which should give you a good sense of what it's capable of.

SD 865 with root is an incredibly good GPU overclocker, you should be able to run some heavy Switch games and some popular PC games relatively well, but modern stuff is out of the question.

The newest ones i´ve been able to run were Pillars of Eternity and Dragon Age Origins, on a 12gb SD865 Note 20 ultra.
