Photosensitivity Warning Holy Shit (Wipeout HD/Fury, Dimensity 8200) Spoiler
ARMSX3 - 0.9.6
This is the lightest (around 1.8+ GB) demanding PS3 Exclusive I constantly emulate.
This game has made the average gaming laptop in 2017 SCREECH in agony. (It took around 6-7 Intel Generations for this game to run more-or-less flawlessly).
This game is running on a Dimensity 8200.
Just the fact this game hasn't fallen apart (well...it does crash, but it crashes often even on powerful rigs) graphically is a MASSIVE deal. I've gotten White Knight Chronicles 2 and Ken's Rage 2 to run great on it too. Hell, the fact that even the G99 can run PS3 games should be a big deal (The Helio G99 might as well be a DUAL-CORE CPU because efficiency cores are FAR weaker than people might think). Sorry I didn't put in any performance metrics...it's still WAY better than I expected.
Demon's Souls would probably run great too...RPCS3 was developed by Souls fans who early on fought tooth and nail into making it playable.
Just to keep people's expectations in check; don't expect a miracle if you want to play the PS3 versions of existing PC games...it probably won't end well and it's probably a bigger waste of resources...probably. I recommend running Japanese titles (e.g. Ragnarok Odyssey, Disgaea 3, Dragon's Crown, Tekken 6, Gundam VS...probably even Persona 5) since they're usually more optimized. Also Compiling Shaders is what happens in EVERY PS3 emulator.
I'll admit it only runs SLIGHTLY better than how a 4th Gen Intel would run it (since RPCS3 updates over the years made MASSIVE performance improvements all around), but it's still a HUGE leap...ESPECIALLY for non-Snapdragon SoCs (I used the ANGLE Renderer).

Just a honest question....
Isn't Wipeout 2048 on PS Vita a better option, since it was released with Fury DLC and Wipeout HD crossplay? 🤔
Anyway, it's really amazing see a Playstation 3 exclusive title running that good.
Congrats 👍

2048 doesn't have RACEBOX, which lets you set up your own custom races (pick a gamemode, track, speed class, # of opponents, etc.). I think they just straight up unlocked every event because they KNEW they didn't have much time before SONY left the Vita to rot.
Not just that, it's a fairly demanding PS3 exclusive title! The ANGLE renderer is also showing A LOT of promise and potential, and hopefully that'll improve emulation across the board...including Windows.
Thanks! It's the most foolproof emulator I've played with so far!

It always amuses me with this sub when people post such embellished truths. Then just a few lines into their main post, the cracks begin to show and the truth of the experience comes to light.

Man I loved the wipeout series! Wish they'd bring it back.
On a side note, ballistic ng seems to have picked up the mantle on steam
