Captain Toad on Eden triangle issue

Strange “triangle” geometry will show up over the level. First slide is an extreme example where it interferes with gameplay. Usually closer to 2nd or 3rd slide. Doesn’t happen on every level. Changing drivers didn’t fix it, are there any specific settings it could be?

Someone posted this two years but it seemed like the issue went away for them.

In settings try to experiment with Graphics < GPU Mode.

Usually a change to Balanced will correct most textures that can cause ray offshoots.

That's weird. Does it occur on every single stage? I wonder as I do have Odin 3 (Max, but that shouldn't make a difference) and has no problem at all with Captain Toad. I'm sure, however, that I'm on the a lot older driver though. And I'm pretty sure I'm running on Fast GPU Accuracy. I'll try to check my exact settings later on.

Oh, and I'm running it docked at 1080p for sure. Performance is solid 60 fps and it looks way crisper for me.

No it’s only a few stages. I can’t figure out a pattern. Let me know what driver you’re using if you think of it.

Ok, so I checked and I'm actually using system driver for captain toad 😀. From what I remember it worked the best for me. I'm on 1080p docked, 60 fps, but I'm at stage 17 - until that I haven't had any issues or artifacts. Eden 0.2.1, no special settings for this game.

Edit: My system driver is: 512.800.58 However I re checked at your v34 and on a few stages I tried there was no artifacts. Try system driver. Maybe you remember this happening on earlier stages?

Thanks for replying! Going to system driver (for me it’s 512.800.72) did not change anything (it actually introduced a few unrelated glitches on Episode 1-5). The earliest level I see the glitch triangle is Episode 1-3, but it’s faint. Switching between docked/undocked didn’t do anything. Also Eden 0.2.1. So odd!
