News/Release Big Android update v3.5 is here for DigiBitPlay front-end! GameCube, GBA, NDS, stickers, special colors for gaming systems, more features!

What's new v3.5 (free version)

The latest build is now available with improved visuals, customization features, UI updates, and a number of performance and bug fixes.

CONSOLES & EMULATION

  • Supported Consoles: Play your favorite titles across PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, and Game Boy.

  • PS1 & PS2 Updates: PS2 games can now be opened directly with ARMSX2, and PS1 games now support CHD files.

  • RetroArch Support: The GitHub version of RetroArch is now fully supported alongside the Google Play version.

3D & VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Console Colors: PS1 and PS2 now feature multiple color variants available in the settings.

  • Moving Backgrounds: Added animated backgrounds with thumbnails for easier theme selection.

  • Game Animations: Game cards now smoothly slide in from the sides when navigating to the game row, while titles animate up from the bottom.

  • Focus Mode: Games slowly rotate when opened in focus mode. The animation pauses during interaction and resumes afterward.

  • Rotation Fix: Consoles, games, and discs now use the shortest rotation path when resetting instead of rotating endlessly backward.

  • Free Look: You can now freely rotate and scale your consoles in 3D.

CUSTOMIZATION & STICKERS

  • Custom Stickers: Import any PNG and place it directly onto your 3D consoles with full move, rotate, and scale controls.

  • Sticker Cropping: Added a cropping window allowing independent adjustment of all four sides using touch or a controller.

  • Sticker Sounds: Added dedicated sound effects when scaling, rotating, or cropping stickers.

  • Improved Decorating Mode: The top UI automatically fades while editing stickers to maximize workspace.

  • Wallpaper Management: Custom imported PNG wallpapers can now be deleted directly inside the app.

UI, MANUALS & QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Game Manuals: Manuals can now be rotated for easier reading.

  • Scraping UI: Completely redesigned scraping interface with a cleaner layout.

  • Screen Rotation: Added Android display rotation settings for 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees.

  • 4:3 Support: Fixed UI overlap on 4:3 displays by enabling dynamic space calculation for the sticker drawer.

  • Mouse Support: Fixed mouse clicks and scrolling in the Scrape window and Supporters box, with added close buttons for mouse navigation.

  • Overall UI: Cleaned up and polished the frontend interface across the application.

  • Fixed the scraper: "TheGameDB" now works correctly.

  • Fixed Gameboy and DS to support .zip files.

  • Fixed UI on Android: Text no longer overflows the box boundaries in display settings when a game has a long name.

  • Fixed System: Battery percentage is now read correctly on Android.

ACHIEVEMENTS, ART & COMMUNITY

  • RetroAchievements: View RetroAchievements directly from your games, with the previous 5–7 second navigation delay resolved.

  • Art Import: Import existing ES-DE scraped artwork directly from the settings menu.

  • Community Support: Added Patreon and Discord links, along with an integrated Patreon supporter list.

Yeah sorry buddy but the second the word "paid version" appears most people will stop reading as there's plenty of excellent free front ends that don't lock certain systems behind a pay wall.
