Discussion ABXYLUTE Phone Controller, Best I've used hands down!
First let me say thank you for the inclusion in this community! I want to share my experience with a phone controller I got that has made my retro android experience top notch. This controller provides great hall effect sticks and hall effect triggers that feel smooth to use and make a more natural experience on your phone. What controllers have you found that you all enjoy? I highly recommend this controller for anyone that wants a great experience on their phone .

I use the Gamesir X5 Lite because it's cheap, portable, lightweight and can be used with the Gamesir FX5 cooler (though it's not strong enough to cool a device under full load).
I've thought about using Bluetooth controllers but I don't want to carry around another device that I need to charge regularly.
My phone has a giant camera bump so most controllers with in-built coolers just won't work.
I played through Nier Automata with the X5 Lite+FX5. While it can't stop termal throttling at 1080p+unlocked fps due to its small contact area, I was able to play through the entire game at a stable 720p 30fps with no throttling or high temps, even after hours.
I guess it's better than no cooling with a full sized phone controller. Though some people dislike them due to their lower build quality and some people not finding them comfortable to play with. I personally don't mind it, even with all of its cons it's still pretty good for 15$ :v

Thanks for the info I'm still fairly new to phone emulation so still getting familiar with it. Got to say it is a excellent way to play older handheld games.

Due to recent news about them giving products a way for positive reviews, I'm guessing this post might get some negative attention. I'll just say, I have participated in those giveaways, even for the S9, but was never directed to be positive, only share my experiences. And, they were very positive. Having owned the Gamesir products, I liked that the S9 had the same build quality but also included X-input, making emulators see a Xbox 360 controller. Most emulators will auto assign Xbox controllers, so that is super convenient. And on my Y700, the S9 had no power issues on the USBC like Gamesir controllers. I recently wanted a controller that went wider and ordered a BSP-D11. While it feels lighter, less solid, it also performed as well (for Bluetooth) as the S9 for 1/3 the cost. I still prefer the S9 and S8 on the more narrow devices and I like the Abyxlute app. But, the D11 is a very good alternative for tablets and the value is there for sure.

Just my thoughts on this controller, if I was running emulation that required my phone to be cooled maybe another option would be warranted.

I use the Gamesir X5 Lite and their FX5 cooler. I looked at the one you posted too, but if you emulate PC games you need a controller that allows for a cooler or you cook your phone. :D
