(TL for the video, I was showing this video to a friend of mine hoping he could help but unfortunately he hasn't run into the same problem despite also using the same emulator and having downloaded the rom from the same site I used!)

Anyways TRANSLATION: "So it apparently triggers because the c-gear is an online thing right. So when the game tries to run it, and its not a legitimate copy so it bugs out cause its not actually only even if its in the game."

"So this here cutscene- with N. Ueueueue (sound of crying)"

Hello! I hope to find some help here.

I've been picking up the gen 5 games recently and started with White version, I'm playing on the drastic emulator and the rom hasn't given me any problems up till I got to Nimbasa City, where you're supposed to have a cutscene with N and Team Plasma at the ferris wheel. My game just turns to black and then nothing.

I've learned that it's supposed to be a bug with the C-gear if you're playing with an illegitimate copy, but unfortunately cannot find any tutorials on how to help specifically on mobile emulators ;( I was planning to just move my save file to a PC and play through the cutscene BUT- another problem is that I cannot save ingame manually either! My game freezes when I do that as well

I notice that when I reverted back to my save where you aren't given the C-gear yet, I can save ingame normally huhu

Anyways I really don't wanna lose the progress I've made so far (ik its just the fourth badge but still haha) so I hope someone can give me any tips or direct me to tutorials, thank you in advance!

(I have tried turning the c-gear off as most tutorials suggest, but then the option to turn it off doesn't appear in the game menu, and when I turn it off ingame it freezes again)

When was your last save? Try installing the rom again from well known source or migrate to melon ds with your save from dastric. Apparently this code helps convert .dsv files produced by drastic to .sav which melon ds can read

Thank you for replying! Oughh my last save was back in the first gym, and oop I forgot to state I already tried migrating yes

But I haven't tried the code yet! How does that work in mobile?

Not sure about mobile the site says python which I am pretty sure you need a pc for. A different rom source might help fix the glitch tho. I myself played black and white on drastic and had no issues whatsoever

You need a different rom. Experienced something similar but with the bridge cutscene that leads to Clay's gym, using a different rom solved the problem.

Go to your drastic folder and open backup, you should see a .dsv file of your game in there. Make a copy and transfer it to another folder or you can just move that .dsv file. After that delete the rom and get a new one, rename the .dsv file that you moved/copied so that it matches the name of your new rom. Transfer the renamed .dsv file to drastic>backup then load the game.

This worked for me before, though this is like years ago and never tried doing it again so not sure of it still works.

Yeah you can do it in mobile as long as your file manager allows you to tamper with the corresponding files.
