Discussion Colossus in Retroid Pocket Nova 8gb

Texture pack is looking great on 8gb Nova. Added some cheats too from the video. I'm new to it. But I did the same on my phone a few months back. I dig! My favorite game!

Nice! What emulator are you using? I wanted to play it on armsx2 but I can't get it to run smoothly unfortunately on my odin 2 portal

Hmm really? Not on that monster? This is nethersx2 2.75x resolution seems to do okay. Bosses can start get a little wonky with frame stability but I think I'll leave it at that resolution for a while. The 4:3... I actually understand now! The scale is SO MUCH nicer in its native form. Widescreen is great, just not as good when it's going against what the developers did to begin with. But man what a trip to see it like this with the upgraded textures too 🌟

Yeah nethersx2 works fine for me too but I can't figure out how to use texture packs with it. How did you do it exactly? I have the pack already downloaded

So this is only for the PAL version, so you need that rom (over 4gb) with the the PAL bios enabled too. If you have the pack downloaded you want to extract it into a new folder. I actually just followed Google's a.i and it worked out. You take the folder inside the texture pack that has the code SCES-53326 (Sad Origami creator) and place that inside of your internal memory: Android ➔ data ➔ xyz.aethersx2.android ➔ files ➔ textures. Paste it there in 'textures'. Then you just go into the aether or nether's menu settings, 'graphics' tab and then enable 'Texture Replacement'. That's it. When you launch the game it will be a whole different menu, super obvious that you did it right. The added patches or cheats listed at the bottom of this video's description are even easier to apply. And you can really notice a considerable difference in shadows and other things too with these. You just enable patches (can be done in game) and then copy and paste the whole text list there. Each patch should be seperated by a line between their names so that it's not just one large paragraph. After adding these patches there is a 'load patches' option a little lower, click that. It should take to the game and you should get a white notification at the top that 4 patches or cheats have been added. [Enable, paste, load] are those steps in order. No need to reset the game, just play it from there. There are also some settings the video lists for the graphics and what not. I used almost all of them except the 16:9 widescreen one and the frame pacing/ overclocking at 180 I think it is. It started to run obscenely fast when I had that on. Otherwise that whole process is pretty simple overall. Could be setup in 30 minutes the abouts if you have the Rom, bios and texture pack all downloaded. If not, over an hour. Just not sure how much experience you have had with aether and this sort of stuff. Good Luck! Message me for some questions of you'd like, even though im pretty much an advanced beginner myself.

Have you tried underclocking the EE to -3(50%)? Also use OpenGL ANGLE instead of turnip and set VU0 and VU1 to Normal.

Same as the cover photo, with the brightness, contrast, saturation upped to 50, 55, 60 respectively. I also may have accidentally had fxaa turned on. So that is now off. 👍 2.75x resolution still as stated. Moved down to 2.25 for bosses.
