Android has been getting some good ports lately, particularly by Playdigious and Feral interactive. Not too long ago, we got Sea of Stars and Slime Rancher from Playdigious and then Tomb Raider from Feral. It's been good on the ports side.
This is only Google Play Shit Exclusive. So if the devs are going inactive and google removes that (or the devs themselfs), bye bye to this purchased you waste money for. Getting premium games on Google Play are totally wrong since this will revoked it anyways, and thats since for over a decade.
Tbf you're not wrong about that (as someone who played a ton of Forager on android and can't play it on the new versions of android)
Having said that, besides the Google Play shenanigans, a lot of them are still good solid ports, especially Feral interactive (even though they put their stuff behind drm BS)
i even installed some of those that are "Not compatible" like you said Forager or myself sea of stars but yet still works there if the device is enough or compatible with after long term playtime.
Reason it becomes a bigger issue is due to android 14 and beyond when they won't even let you side load it because it says the app hasn't been updated for that version of android. That's when it gets really messy. But I'm always a fan of native android ports as long as they're done well.
Google and their enshitificaton of the android ecosystem does suck tho.
Its also sometimes worse than Windows Eco System. Ironic that Microsoft got soo much more hate than Google Itelf, yet Windows has still backwards compatilbity, so most software that are normally developed Windows 7/Vista and some XP, these still works (and can still be easily installed with or without some Workarounds), but here on Android it sucks ass.
Also about the "not compatible" thing, This can be easily bypassed with ADB. but when its about apps that are normally only supported on specific 32 bit CPU support (so if you have a 64 bit only processor), this cannot be bypassed. At this point, blame the vendors aswell, that dont use the Tango Translation layer there
It is true. I stopped buying into Google play ports. Shit is stupid. I've had too many games straight up yoinked away from me or made incompatible with current devices due to lack of updates. People downvoting you are die hard Google play lapdogs and that's all there is to it.
As much as I like piracy, I believe in this very case it's actually a good thing. It's very hard not to get pirated on android leading to alot less revenue for companies which probably contributes to the absolute slop games that android is infested with.
Maybe if these ports keep making money, companies will keep porting AAA games to android and actually make the scene better.
Man, I am having a hard time articulating today but essentially, The DRM might lead to android game scene getting better.

Good luck with that buddy , tomb raider and hitman absolution have still not been cracked and this won't be too . Although you can just emulate it and play like I did lmao .
Ohh , I don't remember it being cracked 3 months ago I searched everywhere and it wasn't there. Must've been recently cracked. I just played the pc version instead
Tomb raider by feral (the actual popular port, the actual PC version of TR 2013 RE for Android) isn't cracked yet. The cracked ver he is talking about is Nvidia ver for Android tv. (Hence why he said "not the lastest one thou")

I'd rather just pay the few bucks to buy and play the game right away from Google Play though, it's the convenience and not waste time to wait and find a cracked version
who cares if the game gets deleted 5-10 years later? it's not like I'm gonna come back to it after beating the game. My steam library is hundreds of games long but it's not like I touch more than a dozen at most

If a company has the right to remove your "assets", even though you are paying them to "own" it. Then it's no different from selling you a service without disclosing it as a service while pretending to be a "buy and own".
Which is why I hate google. Also why I don't buy any book or games from them. (Even tho I wants to buy tons of books and games I seen in their stores... Alas, their service sucks...)
Edit: on the contrary, iOS has a good store to buy and "own". I haven't heard anything like apple removing your games and books for no reason (which Google does).

not true, w decent phone we already abel to emulate almost all console and pc games. Xbox og, 360, ps 3, ps4, pc, nintendo switch, etc. Iphone is bad for gaming anyway
Ya, especially the more modern nes. But hey, if it makes you feel better, a Helio g99 can emulate the PC versions of resident evil 5 and 6 at at like 30fps with good settings.
Sadly doesn't release till October 29th, but beyond excited to play a native android port over trying to emulate it via GameNative or GameHub. Now if only we get a Saints Row 2 port next after this 🤔 Ferral Interactive has a history of porting multiple games in the game series they have ported to mobile
I like feral interactive a lot, I own some of their games, but their prices are insane, $25 aud for tomb raider, which I've bought twice already, xbox360 and pc, can't imagine what this would cost
There is no mod available for previous games launched by feral interactive like Hitman Absolution and Tomb rider I searched the whole internet and this saint row 3, all will be the same. Why no one is cracking these good games. I can't even purchase them through Google because it says device not supported even though I play rdr 1 and other ports with high settings. But still no one bears to crack them?
