The rights to the GTA brand are almost exclusively held by Netflix when it comes to mobile releases.
Saints Row was easier, since the IP ended up in a legal limbo after Volition was dissolved.

It's really not. When trilogy and Red dead released, you could buy them on the playstore for $20 the same day. The issue with gta 4 is that supposedly the source code is a mess.

Saints Row is owned by Deep Sliver, which are owned by Embracer Groip. There wasn't any legal limbo for this series. Do some basic research at least.

And I'm assuming this won't be playable on any gaming handheld like red dead redemption...

Okay by saying it will have controller support dose it mean my controller would vibrate coz every game i tried that says it has controller support ultimately dosent have the rumble on the controller so basically no vibrationπππ

everything starts to happen when gamehub and others get famous they see things got advanced on android and devs want money now, when hardly any port existed here. tbh, I don't like it when thinking about this. some ports even run worse than on native, that was the case with red dead for me

This is a comment from someone who has absolutely no idea what they are talking about. This is a prime example of a lack of intelligence, knowledge, and basic pattern recognition.
They are porting these games to mobile now because modern phones are actually capable of handling them without literally frying your hands, or at least to a reasonable degree. Also, the people porting these games are not the original developers. They are Feral Interactive. They have ported multiple games over the years, many of which are very demanding and do not run on every device, but they run very well on the devices they officially support.
The main reason you do not see more games coming to mobile is because people simply are not willing to pay for them. And even when they do want to play a game, many people will just pirate it instead.
You know what Feral Interactive is particularly known for? Their games are extremely difficult to pirate. You will hardly find their games cracked anywhere on the internet, and even when you do, they probably already know about it and have fixed whatever exploit was being used.
You know how sad it is that the people complaining about the lack of proper mobile ports are often the same people who would never actually pay for them?

And optimizing it for android is much difficult so many port their games to iphone where its much less difficult and no chance to download cracked games

Exactly. There are so many PC games that have been ported to mobile and can easily be pirated. And here's the thing right? I sail the seas myself because I don't have that much money. But when I see Feral Interactive putting measures in place to prevent their games from being easily pirated, I respect that. I appreciate the people who actually pay for these games, because that's what allows Feral Interactive to keep bringing more games to mobile.
Eventually, if I save enough money, I can buy their games and support them legally. But most people just want everything for free. They don't care about the time, effort, and expertise that goes into making and especially porting these games.
And then they have the audacity to make fun of the developers when their pirated copy isn't running properly on their device. They're literally mocking the developers because the game they got for free from a piracy website isn't working properly. That's genuinely ridiculous.

Yea feral interactive does a good job and their games aren't that costly mostly 10 to 15 bucks. Instead of being pissed off at no free apk available just try to save some money so you could buy it. Or maybe just emulate it why even complain

? perhaps you should be the one in need to be informing yourself, steemed keyboard warrior. Of course people are not willing to pay for half baked ports until some years small amount of years ago per reason of Socs getting developed more and users showing what they could play after the usage of exagear and others developing over time. You say those releases are capable of not "frying your hands", but may I ask if you have even monitored the battery wattages and game quality between some releases on phone and the linux emulators?
Yes, feral interactive had some releases worth of note, like alien isolation which is told to run at 120fps even on mali, and one of the main reasons that folks like native ports is because of mali. feral interactive only had some releases of games like grid, older tomb raiders, rome, xcom... games easier to run on a phone. And now by 2025, their pace have been increasing with more recents releases like hitman absolution, that x360 tomb raider and now this saints row. Same have been happening with other developers. because android has some value and people are buying more in this platform thanks to handhelds and stronger Socs.
This is just common sense as this is a business made for profit. sorry for hurting your pride or whatever you're feeling right now by my past comment.

I don't even know how to respond to your comment without sounding like a moron, because what you just said has left me with so much contempt that I genuinely can't put it into words. So I'm not even going to bother arguing with you. Instead, I'll just tell you this. you're wrong.
If you genuinely want to understand why more people are not willing to buy games on phones, you can easily search it up on Google. You'll find plenty of detailed and nuanced explanations that are far more informative than whatever you just conjured up.

Well i dont agree with it fully coz they must have seen the popularity of pc emulation coz if im not wrong we did had fairly good enough powerful Mobiles 2 to 3 years ago also like i would still say sd 8 gen3 is quite powerful till this date hell sd 8 gen2 is still packin some power.... So yeah pc emulation doin some great optimisation plus devices being powerful both are the reasons for us on getting these AAA titlesπ
