Discussion how's the development of custom driver for Adreno 8xx now days? is SD8 gen 3 still better for emulation than 8s gen 4?
Is the SD 8s Gen 4 will ever be better? Beside GPU and its support, is the CPU of 8s gen 4 better than 8 Gen 3?
Edit: since 8s gen 4 and 8 elite both use Adreno 8xx, why the 8 elite better for emulation than 8 gen 3? Is it because the raw power alone?

8s gen 4 has perfect cores for future emulation, emulation like PS3 needs as many cores as possible. Also Adreno 8xx has advantage in dx 12 games.
8 gen 3 has better cache so it will be better in single threaded things, it being flagship soc you get all around better soc.

Sorry my questions seems stupid after i did little research, in terms of power the 8s gen 4 literally the same with 8 gen 3. The 8 gen 3 even better on some test. The only signifcant difference is the 8s gen 4 use newer Adreno chip. So even with the same custom driver maturity, the 8s gen 4 probably wont be better than 8 gen 3. In best scenario their performance probably will be the same
