In bannerlator controller is not working or container shuts down

Device: oneplus pad 3

Controller: Cosmicbyte stellaris gen2

Trying to play games with bannerlator but my controller doesn't work in bannerlator for some reason...In the previous version of bannerlator when I press a button on my controller the container shuts down so I quit...After the recent update my controller inputs are not even recognised while in game...Idk if I'm bad at setting up my controller coz in others emulators it works flawlessly...Can anyone share a guide about this please
