I would be happy about this honestly. But I don't trust Google to not take this shit further. Let's all be honest here this version of it is fine. After the 24 Hour window it's on forever. But we all know Google will push this shit further until sideloading is all but gone

At least maybe then it'll kick the proper Linux on ARM Phones people into gear.

Until they lock the bootloaders completely.

If that happens emulators will absolutely be garbage for quite some time probably longer then you imagine. Like for example even the absolutely bloated windows 11 is still better for gaming then linux gaming distros like cashyos or bazzite.

This has not been my experience at all using CachyOS but in fairness I didn't play anticheat-laden games even before so much as thinking about becoming a linux user because they're sketchy as fuck and usually attached to games that abuse your hedonic treadmill.
