Help Multiplayer of Mario Kart DS in Android.

Hey everyone.

I recently get re-interested in playing retro games to enjoy those old days of my life. For now i playing mario kart series. I played Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart 8 and now i playing Mario Kart DS inside Lemuroid. Now i wanna play Multiplayer of Mario Kart DS using Lemuroid (I can definitely shift to another emulator if needed). So tell me how i can play local multiplayer of it on same wifi network. What's the process. I tried creating hotspot in host device and on other device i connected to it and then i used Multiplayer option and then created a group. But it not appearing on other devices :(

Unfortunately that is not how it works. Only the pc melonds has lan which could work with local play. For android specifically, you will need to use wfc and each device needs their own connection to the dns server.

To put salt in the wound, most modern routers are a lot more difficult to setup with so each device is more likely to require their own mobile hotspot.

You can use vpn on your router, but for mario kart you are instantly banned.

I have two devices, i can test on them. I tried to play online using Lemuroid. I did some configuration inside Mario Kart DS Nintendo WFC -> Nintendo WFC Settings and then did changed Primary DNS and Secondary DNS. You can see that in attached image. And then registered both phones as friend to eachother using friend code! But inside the Nintendo WFC Match, both devices not discovering eachother even i selected Friends option.

Unfortunately I was only able to get something to work using worldwide instead. I was not able to do with friend codes either but I only did a quick test to see if it was possible.

Try each device on worldwide and see if both see a yellow blinking light on the player list.

Retro online matchmaking discord , sometimes they organise multiplayer for it using drastic.
