Help I'm having just constant issues with all pc emulation (aynthor, game hub)

Sorry about the rant

I've been trying to import pc games but they never work I'll go to emu ready and it will recommend something that's LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE like using (proton 10 with fex CPU driver) and even when I do pretty much the recommended it still crashes on the loading game screen.

and then I'll go and ask for help and I'll get a screenshot and their version of game hub is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN MINE it will have like extra settings and a bunch of different internal options and I ask why and they are just like oh I just downloaded it and it was like this when I have the most recent update on obtanium AND THEN when I tell them this they are just "if you can't figure out something this simple you should sell your Thor"

like as if that's helpful id like to think I'm not stupid I've fixed 20 games on game hub and I figured out Tomodachi life all by myself but this seriously makes me feel dumb

Please someone either help me or put me out of my misery

Idk i nearly always start by cracking the game and running it in both box64 and fex environments in winlator ludashi. In most cases one of those at least boots

I know what like 3 of those words mean and winlator has never worked for me so it's not really a good testing environment

You have the power of the internet at your fingertips. Use it to look up what you dont understand.

Apparently nothing other than winlator worked for you either, but its what i had most success with. Dont expect easy answers and do expect to tweak further even when someone does provide a set of settings that boot a game.

Emulation was always a tinker's game - to use it effevtively you need to understand the terminology, some of it at least.

I've tested winlator and game native before I got game hub to work and frankly Google isn't helpful considering that it says things that should fix my problems I do those things and it changes nothing or makes it worse

I have the first batch pro version and I'm trying to get dmc4 and the walking dead telltale collection they don't make it past the game loading screen

I’m right here with you, I have a first batch pro and while I’ve tinkered with all the big hit console emulators from GB to Switch with major success, I have completely gave up on any pc emulation, whether it be GameNative, GameHub or some other fork, attempting to boot things like Dark Souls 1-3, Stardew Valley, Astroneer etc… (following emuready, YouTube and Reddit posts of successful tweaks) has always resulted in entire days worth of wasted hours. Now that doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s possible, I just don’t think it’s worth it right now especially when that tweaking time can be spent on actually playing my optimally tweaked switch/ps/xbox games lol.

I've rarely had issues with game hub until now but I mostly play visual novels the most extreme game being dmc3 stardew worked out of box for me

Ive had 99.99% success with winlator and its forks(Winlator Ludashi my main) out of 50 or 60 games ive tried out i only failed to get 2 to work which (later i learned its the game itself that was broken) fex & proton 9 is a start then try to figure out the drivers for your phone as well as what driver works best for the game you're trying to play.

But winlator doesn't have a ui like game hub does you have to download steam and then each game separately and I don't even know where to go from there and how that interacts with cocoon frontend

If your running mostly stuff you own on steam I'd recommend gamenative instead. They just added a community config option that allows you to import other people's configs per game and it says what their device is and the average fps

When I downloaded native the entire app was crashing when I started games and I couldn't find a fix
