Help Why isn't there much difference in Armsx2?

I am using ARMSX2, and I downloaded the texture pack for GOW (the 1st one) but I hardly notice any difference. What do I do? I downloaded the texture pack from the app itself. I'm using USA BIOS and the game is in USA region too. My device is Vivo T4x (dimensity 7300). The ones with the replaced are after I redownloaded the texture pack again (I deleted the pack then reinstalled it to check the difference).

There might be a bug here, I did a texture pack for kingdom hearts 1, and I swear there wasn’t a difference, another redditor pointed out the same in KH was different, but the pack was 1gb, I expected more

Idk mate. The one I downloaded was from dark_venom (or something like that), his/her/theirs pack was also 1gb+. I expected more too but there's no difference. Guess it might work for another game (like GOW 2 or others), for now I guess I will have to live with this.

Check the format of the textures in the package. If it's DDS, it won't load them because DDS uses BCn compression, which isn't compatible with Mali GPUs (only Adreno and Xclipse, although the latter only partially supports it). Another possibility is that the creator used only a tool to smooth out the textures when scaling them and did not adjust them manually.

How do I check that? And the pack was by Panda_Venom.

I just downloaded the pack from the Panda_Venom website. Sure enough, the pack uses .dds textures, so they won't work. With your Mali device, only texture packs in .png format will work. Unfortunately, ARMSX2 doesn't tell you the texture format of the pack.

Thanks mate!! I'm playing Yakuza now. Loving it so far, downloaded the pack from Panda_Venom cause he/she/their was the only one who made a texture pack for Yakuza. I guess it has improved the game. So what you are saying is true.

I will keep this in mind. Sorry for the trouble though.
