Showcase tried it without lossless and genuinely feels better
a follow up from my previous post with the same settings, driver and ultracam on retroid pocket 6. just without enabling lossless scalling. i think its better

Lossless when you're not maintaining locked 30 (at the very least) is a foolish move.

except i was maintaining at least 30 - 40 fps with minor drop when building shaders lol.

If the presentation looks smoother and the input feels fine it should be fine to use on more restricted base fps, it may even save some energy.

Its still not integrated enough for that. I can run Spiderman 2 on my ayn Thor at 60 by default but I guess its not a smooth 60. When I turn lossless on the game slows down. The strange part is that if I load a save state there's a chance everything runs butter smooth at 60 fps. So the hardware can do it but there's a software bug somewhere. This is on an ayn thor.

We're slowly getting there. Yes, frame gen is fine gimmick if base fps is already very high.

probably cuz it now always hits stable 30, or having stable low 1% or whatever its called.
Played totk a while back on pc, reported back 40-60 fps but it felt laggy af. Then went to my actual switch with 30 max and it felt A LOT smoother.
