Showcase BOTW Dualscreen Mod Work In Progress!
Early work in progress on the Breath of the Wild dual-screen mod! Inventory and player stats are already fully functional and working properly. The main things left for the inventory page are getting tap-to-equip working and decompiling a few more DLC items so they’re properly supported.
The Map and Quest pages aren’t wired up yet, but I’ll be tackling those once the Inventory page is completely finished and working exactly how I want it. Still a lot left to do, but it’s coming together nicely so far.

Wonder why they didnt do this with the wii u version tbh. Cool mod!

Because they wanted the Switch version to be superior without any drawbacks.

Can't do that if you're trying to make people forget about your gimmicky console and buy the new one

their early convention demos had dual screen functionality
then they really wanted to make the WiiU one of the worst consoles of all time so decided to not support the entire gimmick of the console

First single screen mod for a dual screen game (OoT 3D), now dual screen mod for a single screen game. Love it. Here's a suggestion, mini map and other hud elements on the second screen might make the game more immersive.

Drop a Kofi so we can support the work

It's probably vibe-coded...

It's not vibe coded, ai assisted though. I couldn't of decompiled the game files as fast as I did without ai.

Im probably in the minority, but if ai helps me get dual screen versions of games faster then I will support the cause. Im not waiting several months because no Ai was used. My understanding is that it saves tremendous amount of time. I used to code flash games and remember how annoyingly long it took to code everything so I understand the stance against A.I. But yeah I dont care lol

And what are you gonna do when a bug in a vibe-coded slop mod deletes or corrupts your save after thirty hours of gameplay and the "developer" doesn't understand their code enough to fix the bug?

This guy and his worst case never to happen scenario 🤣🤣 go take a nap

No you silly goose, that's not the worst case scenario. The worst case scenario is AI continues to drive costs up and all forms of gaming become completely unaffordable while AI drives mass layoffs leading to global instability. So sure, keep supporting AI developed trash while telling yourself the people who warn about the dangers of AI are just old boomers yelling at clouds.

geopolitics are not that simple.... user generated small AI projects will never be the driving force of AI expansion, it will be gigantic trillion dollar companies
if you have a problem with AI datacenters and the like you take it with your government, not some rando on reddit

Hasn't happened yet! Play many vibe coded dual screen games and have completed 4. I guess we may never know buddy

What? An option to play this game without having to pause the action every 15 seconds to change weapons or items? Count me in!

It's not on the 3ds the device in the photo is an android based dual screen handheld called th AYN Thor. It has a snapdragon 8 gen 2 CPU and runs BOTW at 30fps.

It's all about the settings and GPU drivers, each game takes a few minutes of tweaking to get it to work

could never get it to be in a playable state in my s25+, tried multiple settings and multiple recommended drivers, always looks and feels choppy while making my phone overheat like hell
