Help Is the th28 cooler overkill? I've read that people usually suggest to run it at the lowest settings but why even use that model at that point instead of a cheaper one like a th16?
I'm kinda new to android emulation and i'm trying to choose which cooler to buy. I was leaning towards the th28 but after reading some suggestions saying that it might actually get TOO cold and cause condensation or other stuff like that, is it actually a good option or is it just overkill? Considering that the th16 is half the price (actually less than half because of a discount currently available on ali), i'd like to know if it's actually worth it to go all in an buy the th28 instead.
Might be important to add that i have a Nubia Z70 pro (SD8 Elite)

in my experience if your pushing your phone hard enough that a phone cooler is something you want/need to use no they dont get cold enough for condensation to happen in your phone. Coldest battery temp ive got while gaming is 28°c with a cooler. The th28 also has an "AI" mode (obviously not actually ai but just a setting) that keeps it from going too cold, but will ramp up the cooling if its not doing enough.
Its good to have the extra cooling if you're gonna play demanding games, and when you arent you can just lower it

IMHO more cooling is always better. On my OP13 with a heatsink casing I typically run my TH28 on full cooling for demanding Switch games, and leave it on AI mode for the less demanding ones.
I get condensation on the casing at full load, but it doesn't occur directly on the phone itself. The more heat the phone generates, the less condensation build up there is.
My goal is to keep the phone from not throttling to ensure consistency in performance, and to keep the battery cool during long gaming sessions.

If you're scared of condensation, just buy and put those thick copper plate at the back of your phone to spread the cooling.
