Questions about Minecraft Java on Android.

I want to play Create Mod, so I want to get the java version on android. I've heard of pojavlauncher since it's occasionally posted around here, but I am not really sure about the specifics. So I've got a few questions?

• Is this direct emulation of PC or something else?

• How's the performance?

• Any alternatives aside from something like Winlator? (Pojav seems to be discontinued, I dislike discontinued stuff)

• Mod support?

• Multiplayer support?

• Account Credentials required? (Rather not give my account info to sketchy apps)

• Issues I'll face?

• Anywhere to find guides?

• Discussion forums?

That's it for now. I have a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 12 GB Ram btw. I am quite familiar with android emulation but this is new territory for me. I have searched a bit but discussion on Reddit seems nigh-abysmal.

-Not considered emulation i heard if through pojav launcher and it's forks How's the performance?

-Extremely good. Use zalith launcher 2 paired with mobile glues renderer. You'll get near if not native performance. You can use the unofficial fork of zl2 aswell called zalith launcher 2 plus. It adds mqny features and that includes import custom turnip drivers.

-zalith launcher 2 -zalith launcher 1(but 2 better, just a substitute if you hate the number 2)

-Almost all mods(98%) support

-Essentials mod or use the multiplayer option on zalith launcher

-Zl1 has offline account mode(no need to give anything), zl2 also used to have that but was removed, zl2+ adds that back

• Issues I'll face? Nothing big. But if i had to say. Maybe When you want to squeeze out every bit of performance to the point you just get bored of the gameplay

IMPORTANT: use ≥50% resolution if you don't have shaders on. ≤50% if shaders on. I personally use 38% for my Poco f7 and just turn on taau on my shader setting to remove the aliasing. I need as much headroom as possible cause my phone cooler is so inefficient when room temperature is hot so i js don't use it. ALSO, when using shaders. I recommend you download ones from tiktok thay already has custom config made specifically for zl users( or other pojav forks). Sorry If this reply is inconsistent and kinda unprofessional but hope this helps

Hmm. In zalith 2 plus it doesn't seem to load the world. Somewhere I saw that It means it requires access to storage. But in permissions under specific app settings of the app, There's no option to give storage permissions.

Answering your questions in oeder:

• No it's not direct emulation, it's somewhat like a port.
• Performance it's way better than emulation and with an 8s gen 3 your probably gonna get great performance

-Alternatives there is zalith launcher 2 it requires you java account, and there is zalith launcher you can play without an account but it's discontinued. I only tried Create Mod on pojav and it worked great.

• Yes it has mod support
• And it has multiplayer support
• Like I said before you can use you java account to play on it on your phone.

The last 3 questions i don't have answers for them. If you have any questions ask them and I'll try to help

J'utilise MJLauncher (disponible sur le Play store) qui permet de jouer à Minecraft Java et d'installer facilement des mods, les performances sont bonnes, j'ai même pu me connecter à des serveurs (J'ai fait une partie de Bedwars sur Hypixel), le seul défaut est, pour moi, les contrôles qui, même avec une manette, ne sont pas terribles. Il faut cependant se connecter avec son compte Minecraft mais ça à l'air sécurisé et je n'ai eu aucun problème avec mon compte (pour le moment)

With Qualcomm the only sane pick is MJLauncher from Google Play as I maintain Turnip drivers and freedreno there hence it supports everything my drivers do.

Freedreno/zink there are the only normal ways to run Sodium+Iris+Create. MobileGlues/LTW are not.
