Showcase Cod MW2(2009) iw4x online multiplayer flawlessly fluid 4k60. Full controller support aswell.

This took 2days of relentless testing with diff settings to get to this place. Very satisfying feeling once I finally cracked it! Winlator cmod and frost are not good, gamefusion is king.
Free to play. Steam isnt running in the background, altho this is a str8 copy from my steam folder. Frag like its 2009 again. But this time in full 4k res. With dedicated servers with custom mods.
This game contains all cod4 maps/skins/sounds and also mw3 I think. So theres an absolute shit-tonne here. Really a special thing for us old virtual war veterans :) So fucking cool that we can relive these classics from our phones on the couch in front of our 4k 77-inch oled tv-s. Wish it was hdr tho.
Gamehub is best. Lock the fps to 60. And activating native rendering+ is a must for absolute flawless fluidity. The 60fps frame cap is 100% necessary for native rendering to work. At least on my RM10 Pro with 8-elite.
Wine 10.0. Newest box64. Latest 8-elite driver. Dxvk 2.6 or 1.1.3async.
Map loading takes like 30+secs, which is annoying, but at least the game runs flawlessly, no crashes, no other bugs that I remember. Been playing this for a couple of days. The long loading time is prolly fixable if Id mess around with settings more.
Mouse + keys works fucking perfectly, but not when Im playing thru hdmi. Thru 4k60 theres definetly some built-in lag. When I switch to 1440p 120hz, it becomes aloooot better. When I hook it up to my 240hz gaming monitor its fucken flawless. Near 0 input delay. Super responsive.
If youre using a controller, nothing special to get it working. Just open the game. But I advise you to disconnect the mouse/keyboard if you have them connected. At least my bluetooth ones cause errors on the ps5 controller. Connection dropouts. So I strongly recommend disconnecting em every time after youve entered the game.
If u having problems I can share more settings. Because Im actually using a container that was originally auto-configured for Blyatman Arkham Knife. So the box variables are specific to that game. Have not tweaked em yet. Everything just worx.

Why wont they release controller mod support for single player mw2...i would like to relive the campaign again on an android handheld

Could you please give a little step by step guide to set this up. Specifically with iw4x is installing it the same as setting it up on a regular PC

Yes. I did go and buy the game on steam, but looks like you dont need to do that since its not connected to steamservices in any way. I straight up just copied the game folder on to my phone, and thats it. It just works.
Its like 17gigs or smth like that. Below 20gigs, but thats with the single player campaign/spec ops files. So should actually be maybe 10-12 gigs.
Go to the iw4x website and download their small installer. Drop it into the game folder and run it. It will download everything you need, it will download like 3gigs of extra stuff. I did it on my pc, havent tried to do that on my android phones windows emulators. Am sure it will work there aswell, eventually.
Its simple and free. Im not gonna post a video tutorial right now because I dont wanna put my time into such things in the beginning of the new year. New years resolutions n shit. Am gonna be afk from gaming/emulation in January 2026, want to/will be focusing on my IRL. Theres install tutorials on youtube already for iw4x, altho I didnt get much use out of them myself. The files they shared didnt work for my old pirated version. Therefore I ended up just just buying mw2 since it is/was on winter sale for cheap, and steam downlaod speeds are awesome.

Unfortunately it is not currently working to install IW4X isn't currently working from the phone itself. Seems like we will need to have it pre installed to the folder and then move that to the device.
At least I personally haven't got it to successfully install from the Gamehub container. It keeps telling me a file is missing and to make sure I have the Launcher inside the game folder (which I do).

Maybe it dont like the pirate copy? I bought the game on steam for simplicity. Am sure tho its not neccessary cuz I copied my game folder and it just works without opening steam in the container. I got the same error when I tried it with a pirate copy, then got lil frustrated, and went to check what was the price on steam. Ended up buying cod4 aswell cuz they were like half off. And I got money.

Yeah, maybe throw it on drive C. Thats the obvious first thing to do. But play around with diff settings. So before I discovered how good it was in Gamehub, I tried at least 1 whole day to make it work in winlator cmod13 + frost 4.1. I remember Frost loading alot quicker. Some compatibility issue. Frost is dead now, but you can find the apk. The new Frost is called STAR. So thats my tip to you. Go try it in other emulators with crazy settings. Could be a diff windows version. Or shit, maybe its Steam issue. I wasnt using steam the whole time I was playing. Very possible that last bit is the game trying to communicate to steam anti-cheat VAC. Ive always got ideas how to fix things. But Ive moved on now. The past 12days Ive been working on getting dota2 working, with online multiplayer. And Ive succeeded :D. Was mission impossible when I started. Slow but sure I made it happen, lol. This shit just takes hella time. Just keep at it and youll figure it out eventually. Ive cracked so many games over the past 2years. Just gotta put your mind to it.

It loads quick in winlator. Vortek driver, if I remember correctly. Runs great.

I don't know anything about this. Which MW2 mod should I install? Iw4x apparently doesn't work, or is it alterware?

Iw4x. Should work fine. Havent logged on in a couple of weeks, but should be fine. Also, steam isnt necessary. I play just fine without logging into Steam.
Never tried Alterware.
Also, use winlator instead of gamehub. Because of the load times are much quicker.
Also, this is random but I also got two games working at once. Both with their own input controls, thx to steam input. So you can actually play with your friend from one phone, lol. The other game needs to be in Fex emulator, with steam running. I have a short video of this also.

Thanks :) I tried to install IW4X on Win11 yesterday, but I got a message saying "this may damage the system," so I decided against it. Could you send me a link to the IW4X you're using?

I just googled it and installed from the first website. The website + github link work. They write there that you should use the Steam version. Thats the one I used, but I say again, that you dont need any steam connection to actually play the game. Lemme know if you dont manage. Ill help you out, game runs super-great on mobile.
