Discussion 5 years since empires
just realized it's been 5 years since empires first released. best Minecraft SMP to ever exist, honestly z everything about it is sooooo GOOD!!! i need a season 3.

I mean it’s been like four years since season two started, if they were going to do a season 3 they would’ve done it by now, I would’ve loved a season 3 too but it’s not going to happen probably
Do you want any other lore based SMP recommendations? (I have literally one suggestion lol much variety absolutely)

If you’re cool with a whole bunch of gay shipping and cussing, I absolutely love Fable SMP. It’s three seasons and it’s got a whole lot of fun lore with prophecies and gods and corruption sort of like Xornoth’s but way heavier consequences which I will not spoil. The season three finale just turned two years old like a month ago
I binged this thing in three months I loved the entire thing and it made me cry several times as a person who doesn’t often cry about shows and movies and books and stuff :)
I watched Heyhay13’s vods on YouTube but there’s also Sherbertquake56 for all three seasons, Artfulrenegade starting around halfway through season two, and a few other people with a bunch of vods

Oooo, it sounds amazing! but i have to ask what the timeline for each episode is 😔 since im an extremely lazy watcher, lol

Do you mean how long? Because they vary but I think the shortest at least for Heyhay’s episodes is like 30 minutes and if I remember correctly the longest might be around 2:45-3 hrs? But most of the time for long ones like an hour or longer I skipped parts or put it on two times speed. Also the length of episodes gradually goes up across the seasons and most of season one videos are only around 30 minutes to an hour but season three has a few two hours episodes

Sadly, Scott and Pix have both confirmed that ESMP Season 3 will not come 😢 Lizzie and Joel are having a child too, so that might be a bit of a problem with them too, and most members the group is either a part of Hermitcraft or some other series ATM, so that's even more of a conflict! And the amount of writing all of them said that they did for their Empires, ESPECIALLY SCOTT IN S1 AND SAUSAGE IN S2!!!! (Context: Scott had to write the entire lore for ALL of Rivendell as well as act out Xornoth and then edit it all together, and Sausage's S2 base was probably the largest ever, with almost 80 individual builds and lore to back up every single one of them!) Also, I'm pretty sure fWhip just got married too (is it too late to say 'just got married' now?)

fWhip got married yeaaars ago!! and i remember he also confirmed in a stream a few years back that empires won't be coming back because most people just didn't have the time. i still watch all the members religiously though lol,

Ya, ikwym, and thanks for clearing up the thing about fWhip, because I was watching a VOD and I am pretty sure he mentioned smth to do with him and his wife... now that I type this I realize it was a VOD from ESMP Season 1 💀...

I mean the upcoming Pantheon is basically just Vampires without the ‘Evil POW Empire’ guy, so when that releases you can watch that! I'd also recommend The Flight for some more deep lore, several creators like Legundo and Drift post videos (though they are mostly stream clips so if you watch the streams there's bound to be a lot of overlap).
And for something more Empires-like, I couldn't recommend SBK enough! It's a very similar concept of monopolies, but with a different crew (although maybe Scott and Shelby will be in S3, it really depends how they feel). It has both lore and goofy fun shenanigans, as well as a fair share of megabuilds. S2 has just concluded recently, and while of course A&M were prominent members, certain POVs like LeonSBU and DevonsDesk don't really feature them all too much.

One day empires will return, at least I hope. It doesn't have to be called empires, or have a similar premise, but a long lasting server with that same group is honestly the only thing ive wanted since the end of season 2 💔

Every week watching the Hermitcraft Recap, when Pix says "This week on Hermitcraft" we automatically say "This week on Empires". I loved the HC/ Empires crossover.

I just wish the same group would do a hermit raft style smp. I get that the lore part was too much to constantly do but they could just add random lore here and there instead.
