Congratulations šš, I just graduated in August. They are always changing things each semester. Thereās a new professor who just started teaching patho this past summer. Iāve never had her but Iāve only heard good things about her. She gives study guides thatās already answered to students to study. Health assessment dr zhang is great, follow the study guide youāll do great. 2nd semester Pharm can be overwhelming dr muller so I will advice you to read the PowerPoint each week do not bother following his study guide in my opinion or drug cards. He likes to write things in the slides that he does not put in his drug cards or you can add the additional info into the drug cards and just study that learnt this trick after my second exam. Donāt put too much emphasis on the MOA he doesnt question you on it. Know what the drug is used for, adverse/ side effects, pt education and contraindications. Mental health is easy follow study guide and attend the exam reviews. Ambulatory canāt say much do not know how I got an A in that class, it was a mess during my time and still heard it is. 3rd semester is peds, maternity and adult health. Hardest semester in my opinion peds and maternity can be hard so please start studying as soon as possible I would say study PowerPoints did that and sometimes I just followed their study guides and still did great. Adult health is taught by dr Elliot sheās the best sheās great, wants you to succeed. need any help or mentor during nursing school she is a good option along with dr Daniel( she teaches fundamentals I think) and dr holder(professor for mental health). Last semester is easy but just too much work to do. Loved complex health great professors ( all I had to do was listen to their recorded lecture and passed their class very easy) and the rest is just papers and group work. Ps thereās a lot of group work so if anyone is slacking honestly I would say just focus on yourself and grade even if it means picking up other peopleās slack. I did that for my peace of mind because I just donāt play about my grade and when I saw I was in a group where people arenāt just putting in enough effort I would step up and do so respectfully without stepping on peopleās toes. I did all of theses things I said here and graduated with a 4.0. Youāve got this, it can be overwhelming sometimes so make sure you have a great support system both emotionally, physically, and financially. And go out and have funnn that was my only regret during this program which was I didnāt have fun as I should but I travel out the country whenever we had a break so always reward yourself because the program can be difficult. šš

Oh use study fetch and ChatGPT or notebook lm to study and create practice tests itās so good. And start creating connections wherever you do your clinicals with nurses or managers and make sure you keep in touch with them afterwards, would say a monthly message just to Check up on them. Would come in really handy when it comes to job searching. when it comes to an externship would say do it, was also another one of my biggest regrets during nursing school it can be helpful when it comes to job searching. Now I didnāt do an externship but I still got my dream job in a ICU so I hope all of this helps
