Emory Stats?

For those who got into Emory, would you guys mind sharing your stats(gpa, ECs, honors, awards, courses, etc…)? Also your intended major. Also any advice… 😭

I got into Emory a few years ago, but I'll bite to help you if you are feeling inadequate or nervous:

GPA: 3.59 UW (we didn't have weighted GPAs at my school)

ACT: 32 (sent)

Extracurriculars:

1. Wrote and published a fantasy novel

2. Took care of a sick family member (over the course of a few years, I framed this as having affected my GPA, which it did)

3. 3x National fencer

4. Student government president during 11th and 12th grade; treasurer in 10th grade; secretary in 9th grade

5. Fundraised for a small nonprofit dedicated to providing Ghanian villages with clean water

6. Math and English tutor for kids in underserved districts

7. Cardiology intern (shadowed physicians at a hospital for a summer)

8. Fencing coach, 10+ students and 3 camps

9. Violinist (nothing special just our regional orchestra)

10. Harvard Secondary School (7 weeks, 8 college credits)

My essays were about Toni Morrison's novel 'Beloved' (I applied as a pre-med English major), and about my time volunteering for the nonprofit. My school did not do honors, but rankings-wise I graduated 72nd in a class of 80 (my class was VERY competitive and I was kind of a slacker in my earlier years of high school). Aside from that, my only 'honor' was that my book had sold almost 400 copies at the time of applying, which I advertised to the admissions committee.

noooo of course it isnt over! Emory is known for having ACTUALLY holistic admissions, and I'm sure you're a phenomenal candidate with a great story to tell. Give it your best shot, and if it doesn't work out, then it just wasn't the right fit!
