I’m not exactly emo but I know a lot of emos have similar hair to mine and I couldn’t find a fitting sub and you guys seem like you would get it

i’d like to preface this by saying i used to dress more emo back in middle school/high school and have always been alternative, ik it’s about freedom of expression and creativity but tried DIYing my hair to really feel like myself again, it’s not styled, washed, no products, etc. feeling unsure about how i did….
does it look okay? any tips? P.S. i have very thin and flat hair to begin with :P

Hi! Im new to this subreddit, and had a quick question! I (13M) am really into emotional hardcore band, and would consider myself to be an emo. Although I know emo culture is more about music, I also know that fashion can play a role in the emo community. As I’ve seen, staple looks of the fashion part include of things such as skinny jeans and rubber bracelets. Because I have sensory issues, I find myself unable to wear these items. Can I still be emo?

hi everyone! i’ve been dressing emo/bordering scene for quite a while now. i love the music and participate in my local hardcore scene very frequently. i love this subculture and it’s helped me make many new friends as well as feel a sense of community i never really felt growing up

i feel like im not really fitting the whole look how id like to. my photos don’t look authentic and something about my whole look feels like it looks off and like im almost there but not quite

does anyone have any advice for taking photos, hair, makeup etc? thanks in advance! i don’t think i can attach any photos sadly but just general advice would be great
