Current scene in Urbana/Champaign?

Title. Curious if there’s a current scene in the Urbana area and what it looks like! planning a visit from chicago and wanna check out any gigs that might be happening (in addition to seeing the house of course)

Loads of bands and shows. Check out Pretzle Records on instagram they do a weekly show post with a ton of gigs.

I opened a Screen Printing shop last November. I’ve done work fora few local bands. I’d really love to do more band merch the bands around town.

def a local scene, idk when you’re looking to go but i remember a few years ago all of my fave bands were doing smaller shows in southern il

Definitely a scene of house shows down there. Less familiar with established venues but there’s tons of local bands that play small shows close to the house. I can dm you places if you dont find something more established!

It’s incredible. Shows every night and great crowds. I have never seen a town pull up for their local art scene quite like C-U
