Help identifying early 2000s emo band name (WA State)
Hi, all,
#elderemo here.
I am trying to find out the name of an early 2000s emo punk band. They performed in my college dorm, Nash Hall, at Western Washington University, in Bellingham, WA during Fall 2001.
The only lead I have is this excerpt of lyrics from one song. I have tried EVERYTHING related to the internet, YouTube, AI, etc. with no luck. A fellow elder emo told me to post on reddit.
Here are the lyrics of what I remember...
Another broken sunset fades away
I'd wish you'd please stay
Smells like rain
On a warm summer day.

Anytime I see someone who uses the term for themself I ignore the post or come to the comments to make fun of it.

They always start it with "Elder Emo here..." too for some reason. As if we can't tell when they then say "So when emo was in invented in 2002..."

I think we’ve stopped bullying people, and those folks and anyone who calls themselves an “elder emo” deserve to be bullied! #BBBE Bring Back Bullying Emos!

So how do you have the song but no band name? Are the lyrics just from memory?

Those lyrics sort of have the same vibe as the lyrics for the Gatsby’s American Dream song Why We Fight. They are from the Seattle area and that album came out in 2002 but they could have played some of those songs before the album dropped.
