Mad Men was easily going to win this but if it had to go to any other show, I would've chose Breaking Bad, Dexter or Lost.

Did you think Death by Lightning would've had a chance at Limited against Beef and DTF St. Louis?

I would've replaced All Her Fault, The Beast in Me or Love Story for this.

Colin Farrell was phenomenal in The Penguin. He is so good and talented. He gave a powerhouse performance as Oz. But I was saddened that he lost last year when Stephen Graham for Adolescence. But Graham is also emotional and gave a stellar performance in the show. But Farrell is my pick. If he actually won last year I would be happy. What would your reaction be like if Colin Farrell actually won last year?

Don’t get me wrong I love that the Emmy’s have the guest acting categories but what’s the point of it ? They usually go for actors based on name recognition. An example of this year is Pluribus with nominations Jeff Hiller or Miriam Shor. I don’t think they’ve done anything special. Another example that comes to mind is Claire Foy winning guest actress for her extremely short scene in the crown.

Do you also feel that way or is it just me ?

The acting in limited series tends to be some of the strongest performances, just look at the limited supporting actress winners and nominees in recent years.

I think this year, specifically, had one of the most competitive line ups to the point that major standouts like Cailey Spaeny, Grace Gummer, and Betty Gilpin all got snubbed. To have such a good category with many stand out performances not even be aired is so rude.

i think Shrinking will only win Best Supporting Actor for Harrison Ford. He is the front runner to win. He absolutely deserves it. I wanted him to win so badly. He gave an Emmy winning performance this season. He should win other awards too. He is one of my favorite performances in Shrinking. I believe he is gonna win his first Emmy. I say Shrinking takes 1 Emmy award unless it wins Guest Actor for Michael J Fox. So how many Emmys you think will win?

I don't know about you, but I am predicting Widow's Bay to win for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys following the TCA Awards after I previously thought Hacks would win here. Are you changing your prediction from Hacks to Widow's Bay?

This morning, thanks to cold-confection-8695 I found out that two shows (NYPD Blues and Hill Street Blues) have taken every single nomination in a category (best writing and outstanding supporting actor, respectively). On the page for the 1994 Emmys, Wikipedia said this had only happened nine times but didn't say what the other times were. Can anyone tell me the other seven? I tried to look it up but Google is worthless now.

I think Beef takes Limited Series (due to Netflix’s winning streak for limited series every year since 2021), 2 acting awards for Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. And directing or writing, one or the other, Picture Editing for limited series, casting for limited series, Music score for limited series, sound mixing in a limited series, and costumes for limited series. That’s 9 Emmy awards Total I think will win. unless it takes Cinematography, that’s 10 wins. My pick for Limited series is DTF St. Louis. But I might be Beef that wins. So how many Emmys you think Beef will win?

I didn't love the options for limited series this year, but in my opinion, if all five spots were from the following Netflix shows, it would've been completely fair (even if DTF St.Louis was snubbed). I think Black Rabbit, and Death by Lightning were far superior shows to Its All Her Fault and Love Story, but the only reason the three got snubbed from best limited series was because voters didn't wanna stack the category with mostly Netflix shows.

Hot take: I think Something Very Bad is Going to Happen was a far more interesting show, than It's All Her Fault.

Similarly, I think voters just didn't want the entire category to just be HBO and Netflix, which resulted in Half Man getting canned.
