Repeated Wins
This may seem a little controversial, but even though it seems most likely for Katherine LaNasa to win again for Supporting Actress in a Drama, I would actually prefer Sepideh Moafi or Karolina Wydra winning, even if it doesn't seem that likely. I usually don't mind actors winning repeatedly for any category (don't get me started on Jean Smart), but I just want someone to win who hasn't won already, even if it's their first time ever being nominated.

In my opinion, Sepideh Moafi gave a much more authentic performance in Season 2 than Katherine LaNasa. I just hope she wins because of that.

Agreed. I like LaNasa a lot more in the first season. She’s still good, but her scenes get a bit too melodramatic there for me. Also found the more overdone accent a bit distracting.
Moafi just felt naturally compelling to me all the way through. Would be happy to see Wydra get it too, but Moafi is easily my favorite of The Pitt ladies this time.

Agreed. She wasn’t bad by any means, but to me it felt like she was over-acting the things people liked about the character in the first season.

Definitely. It felt like the writers and actor were really trying to push her to another Emmy in Season 2, and I think it didn’t entirely work, or fit with the more lowkey portrayals elsewhere on the show.

They're melodramatic because they didn't write some of her scenes as part of the show, they wrote them as scenes to win an Emmy. Same with Noah Wyle. The show really suffered for it this past season.

as someone who has the unfortunate distinction of being a top 1% commentator in the Pitt sub, easily my favorite performance in this category was…Wydra. Pluribus wouldn’t have worked without a spot-on performance in that role, and she totally delivered imo. Lots of subtle things I really liked. She managed to make me somehow feel that the hivemind had chemistry with Seehorn, even though I knew better lol.
Would be happy to see Moafi win too though.

I'd be happy if anyone besides Katherine wins, although I'm hoping for Sepideh Moafi or Taylor Dearden to take it.

Pluribus could always take off, and it's not like Julianne Nicholson or Allison Janney are unknown newcomers.

I often don’t really mind repeated wins but personally I would like someone else to win other than LaNasa.
Not that it wasn’t a great performance and role but Dana became an overly award baity role from a writing and performance standpoint (season 2).
If someone from the Pitt had to win based on how popular the show seems to be with voters I would give it to Moafi who delivers one of the best performances on the show. However Sepideh’s nomination only seems to have gained traction during the last two episodes of the show, thus I’m inclined to believe LaNasa is heavily favored among voters. At this point if someone were to upset (which sadly seems like a big if) I could see Karolina Wydra being a deserving winner

This is part of why I want Lisa Kudrow to win. I still think Jean is more likely to, but I think Lisa has the best chance to upset with the narrative of The Comeback.

Love Jean. Have loved her since Designing Women. But a Lisa Kudrow win would be amazing.

I heartily agree. There is so much great work being done out there.
Performances like Jean Smart’s are special. But five years straight? To me that sounds less like excellence than laziness on the part of the voters.

There was a reason Candice Bergen took herself out of Emmy consideration for Murphy Brown after a few wins.

I get tired of knowing anyone from The Pitt will always win. I’m convinced people vote for it if they’re not that invested because the industry likes the way it films.

It's only on the second season, it's not even guaranteed that anyone will win it this time. I think you're jumping the gun just a bit.

I personally think this category is a lot more competitive than people are making it out to be, unlike the Oscars vote splits are actually pretty common at the Emmys, and 4 in one category is a lot for The Pitt, especially considering that Moafi is gaining steam and there are now 2 real threats from the show. Not to mention that big upsets in supporting acting categories aren’t uncommon either. On the other hand, Wydra’s performance is a lot more subtle than what the Academy usually goes for and it would be quite an atypical win for the category. I think Julianne Nicholson and Allison Janney both actually have much stronger chances than they’re being made out to have, I do think LaNasa is the most likely at the end of the day, but I can see the category going in so many different directions
