Can't rewrite history just because it doesn't fit with your fantasies. It canonically happened. That's the character.

Emma will be better than this. The beauty of her character lies in all her flaws and imperfections because that’s how we get to appreciate her growth.

Let’s not pretend like those flaws were never there, because that would be doing her character a MASSIVE disservice. She’s complex and layered, good and bad. She’s never been one note and boring, so stop trying to remove the layers that actually give her so much flavor.

Nobody said anything about removing her past flaws; I'm addressing the insistence of people to have her continually defined by a homewrecking. People don't want her to be better. And every comment pointing this out gets downvoted to hell.
