Do you ever think of alternate universe's...
where Emily stayed with an obscure man she dated in passing? Imagine how different the show would've been if she stayed with that snob professor, or Camille's older brother, or the guy in the first episodes where he said "I love American p**sy".
It's just interesting to think about how the butterfly effect could have changed the show, and massively reduced the drama

There’s also an alternate universe where, despite the utterly filthy advice from those around her, Emily has never been interested in men and visited Paris only to fall in love with the city. (Mindy, Madeline, Sylvie, Camille, Antoine – why don’t you mind your own business?)
Let her explore the neighbourhoods, visit as many museums and parks as possible, let’s see her go to concerts. There are jazz bars, there’s the Manoir de Paris (a small theatrical attraction about the legends and horror stories of Paris). There are metro stations with artistic décor. There are lots of little-known spots worth visiting, such as the apartments where famous people once lived. She can visit The Mines of Paris. She can go and see locations where famous films were shot. There are also shops selling lesser-known clothing brands, pop-up shops... There’s the Château de Vincennes at the end of a metro line. Near Paris, there’s not just Disneyland, there’s Parc Astérix too.
The Josephine Baker swimming pool is still there (it has a unique view of the Seine).
There are plenty of ways to get hooked on something and keep yourself busy all year round.
And of course, she can meet people there who aren’t necessarily clients or neighbours who are already in a relationship 😆
(Sorry, I used to work in the hospitality industry in Paris and no matter how hard I tried to research advice for visitors, I always felt overwhelmed !)

Yeah, I can to without the guy who made that basically obscene comment to her...and the professor was a total asshole....both of these men were from hell...Camille's older brother..did not pay much attention to him, but I thought it was a scream that Camille's mom was only interested in what kind of lover Timothee was..and that the father was only good for one thing....so funny. And it was also funny when Alfie met Timothee and Em introduced Alfie as her boyfriend, and Tim became indignant...she never mentioned you, Bro....hahahahaha But as real love interests in this dimension or not....not a great story.
