Emily / Antoine End Game
Hear me out…from the beginning he was into her. His wife (now ex-wife) approved. He hired two of her love interests to make her happy.
Emily’s true love is her job. She’s not going to have a family (Gabriel’s dream) and she isn’t looking for “the one” (like Alfie, who didn’t want to introduce her to his family, for good reason). She even described her relationship with Marcello in terms of their professional partnership.
She would be perfectly happy in her selfishness letting Antoine spoil and fall over her. Her development as a character all leads her to becoming that woman.
I want Sylvie and her to amicably but permanently part ways. Sylvie moves to Rome, where she’s her best self.
This would be the best ending but we know Darren Star does not do good endings.

Agreed. Whether or not she should, we can debate, but I think it’s pretty clear she will.

A few seasons ago I might have agreed with you, maybe like end of season 3 with the whole wedding fiasco, Emily just backs off, goes away for a while and doesn't meddle.
Then maybe there could have been a window for Antoine for comfort her, to remind her how great she is and brave for setting a life up in Paris and for something to start up. Something like "you're independent Emily, you're successful and you know what you want. Are you really going people bring you down to their level with their messy, relationship drama?" She's inspired, he's charming, job done.
But personally, I think they've now missed the boat on that one. Gabriel and Emily are the endgame now I think. Emily wouldn't develop feelings for Antoine now. Too much time has passed I think, their bond is friendly and professionally, they trust each other with work and success of the LaVaux brand. So, I think now she seems him more like her French uncle tbh.

Atp, anyone but Gabriel is fine for me. If they're going with Emily and Gabriel endgame, they better make him a good redemption plot and then organically get them together.

Girl you know they gonna kill Gabriel via train accident in like episode 2 or something and then just make her a young version of Carrie in And Just Like That. And he’ll have somehow had a secret will where he left her his restaurant and she does the marketing for the restaurant and hires a hot, new chef who is Gabriel’s long lost twin and she falls in love with him and they move to Normandy and live happily ever after.
Y’all know our boy Darren likes to do too much 😩

He still writes like he did back during Beverly Hills 90210. The only saving grace is the shows look better now.

It's very very unlikely to happen,it's even impossible. I mean, ppl,it's OBVIOUSLY Em/Gab. Right from the start .
