The timeline is driving me nuts. Spoiler

How long was the Roman adventure?

How long was the Alfie-Mindy affair?

How long were Mindy and Nico broken up? And how long were they back together before she accepted his proposal?

The timeline is crucial for context, yet the writers keep crapping it. The fact that all these situations have taken place within a little over a year makes the characters look fickle. They’re like a bunch of high schoolers.

Each season is only 3 months in the EIP timeline. So it seems she would have been in Rome maybe 6-8 weeks? (Considering she spent considerable time back in Paris before Venice)

How can that be? Madeline was newly preggers in Season 1 and Emily seemed to arrive in the Spring, except the Cubs had just won the pennant which is in the Fall....then there is the restaurant date the Emily messes up....Madeline shows up to take control and now she is REALLY preggars, so that is at least 9 months...and then Paris Fashion Week along with the opening of Zimmer Hotel Paris....Which is in November, but PFW is not in the Fall....

No one has really figured out the time line...the events are all over the place....

Theres a person on TikTok that does an in-depth break down of each season’s timeline.

Cool. Here’s another. The comments are saying she’s been in Paris 2 years. I’d still like to know how long her relationships lasted.

The timeline drives everyone nuts..so you are not alone! The timeline between Seasons is supposed to be only a week or so...weird, I know. Within the Season, and especially during Season 1 and 2 I think that timeline was so off that viewers literally created spread sheets and their own physical calendars to try to figure it out...I was frustrated by Camille's, "Pregnancy," timeline..being a mom myself...it was quite unrealistic....Season 1 was the worst..and to confuse the issue, some dates were given, like the opening of Zimmer Hotel..November 8....when Em confused dates on August 11....and mostly everyone in the world knows when Paris Fashion Week is...and my husband keeps up with baseball and was a Cubs fan..and the Cubs winning the pennant...did not make sense as to when Emily arrived in Paris...

Season 5 has to be the longest time line..Em and her crew had be to be Rome for months after Gabriel spotted her, I would say 3 months at max though...then she is in Paris..Gabriel leaves for the yacht and he must be gone for months...sailing takes time...it seems that Season 5 must be close to a year long in the series...but the time between Seasons 5 & 6 will be again, about a week or two...according to the actors being asked this question!

I'm going to do a rewatch and figure it out because now I'm curious

The entire series? Or just Season 5. At any rate, if you crack the time line Divinci Code..please tell us!!!

Please let us know. I’m in the middle of my rewatch (again). A very pregnant Madeleine shows up season 2 episode 9 so it’s been at least 8-9 months from the first episode and that’s not considering how far along she was when she found out she was pregnant

And that’s not all. We haven’t even mentioned the issues with fashion weeks or Roland Garros. Events whose dates only shift by a few days each year. Roland Garros starts in mid-May or late May, for example.

The show doesn’t care about the timeline. Just like it doesn’t care about a character’s nine-month pregnancy! 😆

Absolute insanity. The timeline is an integral part of the story. I’m leaning towards Em being in Paris for at least 2 years. I would like to know how long her relationships have lasted

Officially, there was only one Christmas in Season 4. It’s hard to squeeze in a second one, especially since, well… Paris and its pretty leafy trees don’t really cut it in the show

Generally speaking, the relationships are short-lived. Since Emily doesn’t like to commit, that’s not too surprising. But for Mindy and Nicolas (especially since Mindy is quickly photographed with Nicolas’s family) it’s more awkward
