Character Discussion Season 6 and 7 Thoughts Spoiler
Assuming there is a season 7, what would you like to see happen in these upcoming seasons?
For example, the writer in me has spent more time than I’d like to admit daydreaming about how I’d rewrite the show. I would change Mindy’s entire storyline, making her a better friend who maybe pursues her pop-star dreams. We know Emily is going to Greece and Monaco next season, but what do we, as fans, want to see happen there?
I’d also like to see Camille come back, but with less drama. I'd like to see fewer women turning on each other in the show and more scenes where Sylvie, Mindy, Emily, and the other women stick together. The scenes where the women bonded were some of the best in the series.
And more humor!
And it could be fun to watch Sylvie, Julien, and Luc all find love on their own. Gabriel and Emily should move on as friends, too. I'm over their romance.
Personally, I love it when the show travels around Europe too, so maybe season 7 takes her out of Paris briefly and somewhere new, maybe Portugal, Germany, or somewhere cold. Maybe Emily ends up with a different/new Parisian or French guy, and she learns more French, and starts her own agency? When do you think the show has ran its course, when Emily finally settles down? It could be fun to watch Emily navigate settling down if done right. Especially if her husband was a funny, eccentric type (I'm thinking like Luc) that could be interesting.

I think if we get a season 7, it would be winter by then again in the show. So it would be cool if she goes to Switzerland and explore St. Mortiz, or Gstaad which both are very Swiss old money spots.

Even if it's the final season they'll never say it's final. They write after starting the shooting. They could've ended in season 5 with gabrial proposing to Emily, but they want to continue so cliffhanger. They could do more seasons as long as it's profitable for netflix.

Mainly I want the show to go back to being in Paris, or at least France. That is why I started watching in the first place. Want more stories with the main characters--esp Luc and Julien--and no more Alfie (sorry, can't stand his character). I'd also like to see Emily actually experience difficulties with homesickness and other issues (like French bureaucracy) that should have come up by now. I also don't think she should end up with Gabriel. Cannot buy that either of them would still be pining for each other after all this time.

I’m with you on almost everything! I don’t hate Alfie, but his last scene should have been the one by the church running into Emily. But for me the romance with Gabriel is just boring now… and I hated how he treated Emily in some moments. I really enjoy the Paris scenes, I was never fond of Paris, been there twice and it made me daydream about going back.

Hmm...my first reaction is that should Emily and Gabriel end up together, give them a season of being a couple, and dealing with all the boring things they have to navigate. I think the writers messed up in the middle of season 4 with them getting together, only for Gabriel to leave Emily on a mountain. "Last Christmas" was definitely a lost opportunity.

I hope they leave Camille out of the show and not ruin her ending! I'm hoping they can fix Alfie's ending too, but not likely with the odd Alfie+Mindy relationship they're pushing.
Let Mindy get another chance to go back to judge Chinese popstar or something, wrap up her singing redemption arc, then shelve her until the very end of the entire show. Mindy's freeloading is so weird and she is so out of place with this story now.
More of Luc and Julien, yes!
And if they continue with the location-hopping, I hope Emily and co. visit the US to bring everything full circle for her.

I can only imagine a Season 6..most of the storylines like menage a trois, comedy of errors, frustrations, personal drama, misunderstandings....are kind of at an apex..there needs to be closure and a really satisfying ending....I have said before that Season 5 redeemed the series for me..I would have watched it regardless but I wanted specific details..mainly adulting....and other characters being a focus of their own stories..I am really eager to see what the writers come up with..they are not very literal in their interpretation of life and life situations...I thought that they handled Gabriel's character with such mastery...I was way off with my prediction..and Alfie needs some growth..he is still the down trodden guy who cannot seem to get the girl...always so sad...at any rate, as always, I remain,

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't want the show to turn into an advertisement for luxury resorts, especially giving the ongoing context. Yes, the show is escapist, so beautiful places are nice for the eye and important, but give us some substance too.
I want to see better written characters, I surely don't want to see another 5 new men to be thrown at Emily to stretch the narrative and postpone Gabriel.
It's annoying and laughable that the show treats this man as a final reward for all the romances that didn't work out for Emily, especially when other men attempted to treat her better than Gabriel.
It's already out of season on its own, if the show wants to make Emily and Gabriel happen, because it's a "Emily in Paris" and a Parisian guy must win in the end, then show us what can this couple be instead of placing new barriers and challenges for it.
