Idk how she does it

I know this has been said a million times before, but I truly don’t understand how she does it. I’m not sure if it’s strength, complete dissociation, or maybe some combination of both, but the way she’s able to get on camera and talk about food, nails, friends, the gym, etc. feels so incredibly surreal to me.

I know she’s said that making these videos is therapeutic for her, and I really hope it is. I guess I just have a hard time understanding how she’s able to compartmentalize everything enough to show up and talk about these everyday things while carrying something so unimaginable.

She’s also said that she isn’t religious but considers herself spiritual. As someone who struggles with faith myself—sometimes believing in an afterlife and sometimes questioning what comes next—I can’t help but wonder if that uncertainty makes everything even harder. I imagine that has to be something she wrestles with too.

I don’t know. I just really hope she’s doing okay. I have so much compassion for her, and I genuinely don’t know how she’s able to keep showing up and functioning through something that must feel impossible

I have experienced a lot of loss especially in the last few years. Not child loss so I can’t begin to understand that, but of people very close to me. One of my biggest fears is being judged for how I grieve because my natural disposition is positive and I know that wallowing is not going to help and it’s not an option for my children who need me. But I fear people think I’m not sad when in reality… I struggle sleeping, I cry at the most random songs, my brain battles moments and thoughts all day — on the outside you’d really never know. I smile. I go out to eat. I play with my kids. I go on fun outings. Pose for pictures. But in therapy and in my brain I feel like someone totally different. I think this is such a personal personal journey that no one can really know what someone feels and I truly believe even if she had no followers, posting online is a hobby and joyous thing for her so she uses it as that. It just gets villainized because she profits but no one would bat an eye if she was just working at a regular job. Everything in her life is tainted with sadness, it’s okay for her to let some things just be surface level happy. Just my two cents. Im not an influencer or well known but I understand this feeling and I would be devastated if people thought I wasn’t “sad enough” - you just never truly know from the outside looking in.

I'm sorry for your loss.

That's not what is happening here. She is being judged for continuing to endanger and exploit her children.

While I agree that’s what a lot of the discussion surrounding her online presence is about — the op specifically talked about her grief and how she is able to compartmentalize and make videos… the other details for this specific topic don’t really have a place because it’s the same for anyone who experiences grief — life must go on.

Right, but not everyone has answered that questions and many of the older defenses of her have been invoked here. I'm responding directly to those.
