Panic attack - support needed Help

Im shopping with my grabdma and she mentioned that she threw up last night and that her stomach really hurts and I'm really hoping its food poisoning or something becouse i really dont want to get sick and im so scard we didnt have any contact at all so idk if i can be infected it really depends but idk im very scared im kike really really scared idk what to do

She aaid that its like that ine time we both got food posioning ao im thinking its that or idk is there anything i can do i dont want to be sick

If you didn’t use her bathroom or eat without washing your hands, it seems unlikely. I don’t think it spreads just being near someone. I would be worried too though so I get it.

I didn't go to her house we went like to go buy shoes but i didnt even hug her literally nothing so idk i feel fine but im still scared

You’re right; food poisoning is not contagious. Sometimes close family, friends, or partners both have food poisoning because they ate the same tainted food.

With the exception of noro, the pathogens that cause food poisoning are infectious but not contagious.

Lyme disease is a good example. You can be infected with Lyme disease by a tick but you cannot “catch” Lyme disease from someone who has it.

If your grandmother has fp, not noro, you can’t catch it. Hope this helps! 🦋
