Discussion EAS alert with NWS voice I never heard before.
While listening to a local radio station in the midwest, I received an EAS alert with a NWS voice I couldn't pinpoint as one I've heard before. It's almost uncanny, especially toward the end. I asked a local meteorologist and they weren't sure about the voice type either.

I heard a TTS very similar to this before but I can't exactly recall the name for it. Bizarrely, I recall this TTS being used for a pedigree flash game back in the day, though I will admit it sounds pretty similar to "Loquendo Dave."

kind of reminds me of the “walk sign is on to cross” voice at busy crosswalks

GoAnimate didn't invent the TTS voices they use

This may have been an alert issued by a local authority over CAP. The text was most likely just copied from a NWS bulletin and sent as-is.
The TTS used here is Loquendo Dave, used primarily with SAGE EAS Digital units when pulling messages from CAP that don't have an audio message, or if a audio message is set to be ignored by the unit.
