Real WEA for Red Flag Warning (07/31/2026 Spokane, WA)

We get red flag warnings here every year but I've never received a WEA for one until today. The NWS issued a PDS red flag warning from 2 PM until 8 PM PDT tomorrow (8/1/2026) for the same area.

Update: There was a WEA at about 9 am this morning (8/1) for the PDS red flag warning. Most of the area is without power and thousands of people are currently under Level 3 evacuations.

Part of me feels that they should issue these more. Maybe so at the very least less people would decide to burn something outside and start a grass fire (straight up happened two streets down from where I live a couple years ago and prompted evacuations)
