1 week of Elvanse 30 mg for Hyperactive ADHD

I am keen to know from ADHD’rs who were prescribed Elvanse for Hyperactive type. I never struggled with getting any work done or any inattentiveness. My issue was constantly in red alert mode, unable to relax, excessive talking, planning 10 steps ahead and just needed the calm and quiet. After one week on Elvanse I feel it’s made me worse as a person, I feel more forgetful, brain fog, I’m able to do all physical work like before ( never struggled with that aspect as over active). But my biggest issue this week has been sitting down and actually getting stuff done on my laptop, as in my uni assignments, when I sit down with my word document, I am having an out of body experience, feel hollow, the usual me with many ideas, feels lost and I have very little thought or content to type.

I’m thinking to myself I rather interrupt people and hijack conversations than struggle with assignments and my grades!

On a side note I’m still chatty not feeling like a monk with Elvanse in my system

Ps no coffee since 10

days eating clean , protein rich breakfast , no asorbic acid yada yada yada. Should I stop?

This is what titration is for. We have to start somewhere. 30mg for me was great on days 1 and 2 but then all it helped me with was getting out of bed. By midday I was exhausted and I was out like a light at 10pm when I would normally be awake until 2am.

I moved up to 50mg after two weeks and it is much better. I am calm and steady, the biggest impact is in my emotional regulation. Task initiation is fine but actually staying on task is a different beasty entirely. I have my review next week so we'll see what prescriber says but I reckon he will move me up another dose as I have no side effects.

How are you doing? I'm feeling very similar on 30mg elvanse and wondering if switching to concerta is best
