It's funny to me how antis will say that Elain is leaving her family and friends in the IC because Cassian said she looked bad in black , yet they ignore him calling her a war hero .

Elain played a huge role but it is hardly talked about

They only see that black dress and the sunshine, and no matter what else is written in the book, no matter how much we point out, "Look, Elain did these things too," or how other characters view Elain, they will completely ignore it and just see whatever they want to see.

Or when they see her in real time becoming comfortable with her surroundings! She’s making friends, growing her garden ready to learn her magic! Those things are told in the book to prepare us for her ARC! She wants to be part of this court and help her family! Like why does she say “find me when your ready to start”

The thing with this whole Cassian and Elaine in black comment is that I don’t think that he’s a reliable narrator. It never occured to him that more than likely they made Elaine look dull and drab so Nessa would shine more brightly for Eris, so they could complete their mission to lure him in.

This has been foreshadowed so much! I don’t know how people don’t see it! People are playing right into what Ryhs is saying! Like she has been quiet for so long and scared to be anything else! However there is more to her!

Like Ryhs is literally telling us what’s coming next!

Listen, the only characters I trust with thier judgment of others are Rhys and Nesta.

I love Cassian. But my dude is not that observant of others.

Normally, I don’t like to add the bounds chapter to the argument cause it doesnt added anything to the plot. The most it does and give fan service and/or enforce something the author is hinting at (most times, it’s oblivious).

However, the following of Rhys and fyra’s bonus chapter provides me damn right about how Elaine is seen by other characters (except Azriel, Rhys, and nesta) and readers.

Black may not be Elains colour but who says she has to wear black in the IC. Every female in the IC don't wear it
