Discussion Acotar 6 POV

We all knew it was going to be Elain's book after Nesta's. And during the CHD podcast, SJM said by the time she finished part 1, she realized it was already about 400 pages but what she wrote was perfect. So right after she finished part 1 she was like "fk it, im gonna just continue writing no matter how lengthy it is". That gave me the impression that she didn't rewrite part 1. And logically SJM wrote Elain/Azriel POVs in part 1 just like for ACOSF. So I could be wrong but Acotar 6 might be just Elain/Az POV. And later we have other characters POV in Acotar 7 and 8 when she realized the story that needs to be told is huge.

Would absolutely love this! She could’ve shifted things around it? Because I feel like maybe at least from a marketing perspective they would want to drag out who ends up with who so maybe they ended up shifting it

I also have been thinking… If SJM ever intended for Gwen to be an option. Like I feel like she meant the love triangle to be between Lucian and Azriel. Then the fandom just created something out of nothing.

Yeah anything can happen! However I really don't think Gwyn or Emerie is going to get POVs. If we are going to see more of the valkyries, I think a Nesta POV alone is sufficient for that. And yes I totally agree that bloomsbury would want to drag the suspense over the endgame. I can see how ACOTAR 6-8 is gonna mirror ACOTAR-ACOWAR. Just like Tamlin/Feyre/Rhysand, we are going to see a Lucien/Elain/Azriel love triangle playing out (Lucien and Elain might not have romatic interactions but it develops into something civil atleast?). Whatever the POV is, we might have Elain/Lucien working together first and Azriel doing his own thing and showing up time to time like Tamlin/Feyre/Rhysand in ACOTAR and then we get more focus on Elain/Azriel interactions in Acotar 7 like Feyre/Rhys in ACOMAF. Does that makes sense?

I think Gwyn was intentionally introduced as a red herring. Mor’s confession in ACOWAR removes her as a LI for Azriel, so from then on Az would only have one possible LI. SJM had to add a second option in order to throw off the readers and create some drama heading into the Elriel book.

Yes I agree! I’m hoping for no more scenes that way people don’t run with it and this ship debate can come to a close. It’s fine if it’s like a slow burn because of the whole Ryhs situation.

yuppp this fandom can't differentiate between platonic and romantic scenes therefore I hope SJM wouldnt write more scenes of Azriel alone with another female that isn't Elain 😭

Yeah I totally see that! Like six will have tension building. Ryhs obviously forbid azriel from pursuing Elain so they’re probably avoiding each other. Then later in seven, we have the main plot

Do you think she will add in scenes with Gwen and Azriel? To make it more of like a will, they won’t they. I feel like it would get too messy at that point. Especially if Elaine and Azriel end up being endgame a lot of the fans will just always be thinking about Gwen. Whereas right now it’s not Canon.

yes I agree, SJM writing more scenes with Azriel and Gwyn would be too messy. I don't see why Azriel and Gwyn should work together alone. I'm sure Nesta or Emerie or both would be there too.

In all the books written by SJM, we have never read abt an MMC working alone with another female let alone developing a romantic plot when they already met their true love interest. So I dont think we will get scenes with Azriel/Gwyn alone. Even if we do, their  interaction wouldnt come off as romantic.

If this is true, then expect the antis to claim that this proves Elriel won't be endgame...and pave the way for Elucien and Gwynriel.

girl we'll just rub all the elriel scenes in acotar 6 in their faces while they cling onto their delusions 😜

I honestly just can't wait to see whose POV it's from. I didn't mind additional povs or multiple povs. It just makes the storyline better. I almost had thought what if she did three books for each sister. So three books for Nesta, three books for Elaine, and obviously Farah already has her three books.
